Where I grew up, there were no rich people. No bankers, no rightwing titans ranting the poor were lazy and the government was taking all their hard-earned money. Some dads worked for the electric company, others sold insurance or held blue-collar jobs.
Just have to say... FRICKEN LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how Kid Rock presented the award tonight on the Billboard Music awards!!!!! That ROCKED and it was fricken awesome!!!!!! xoxoxoxoxox
I must have missed the email regarding moving my membership from the KRC to the new Rebel Soul fan site. I saw the updates today but can only login to here, the KRC. Is there a way to still make that transition? I want to be able to get presale tix for an upcoming show in Spokane, WA at the Northern Quest Casino?
i learned by ear. i suggest to anybody that is learning to learn to read music as well because i always wished i could.
try to find someone that has a web cam to show ya some stuff. its always easier to learn when you can see someone playing versus trying tom figure things out by yourself. i rely on tablature, and youtube videos to learn new stuff myself.
Hey VideoAce,
Do you recommend learing a new instrument by ear or by reading music?
I took about 10 months of piano in early 20's but was disctracted and wasn't 'feeling' it. I am wondering if I find a teacher who can teach me to learn by ear and feel the music instead of reading the music if that might be a good way to go..... I realize everyone learns differently but if you have any suggestions let me know.
How did you learn?
was in the choir n played viola the whole time in school, started self teaching myself guitar in my teens. Now I write, sing, and play as a hobby... don't play out.
I write lyrics, short stories, screen plays, and poetry. I have done this in excess of 20 years. I have a bass and started to learn to play it but got sidetracked with work and life. I plan to learn it @ some point so i can add to my creativity. So i no longer will just write lyrics i can put all the pieces together myself and have my own voice and be unstoppable.
I know ha ha.
Just trying to encourage you.
its never too late, but now that i play pretty well by ear, i dont seem to have the patience to learn to read. its more fun just to play lol
in other words im too lazy lol
is it too late for you to learn to read as well?.
Thanks for your input.

Hey ajay,
Sound like you are a talented writer. Love short stories. Do you have any published?

How did you learn?
Same as Bex, choir at church, then clarinet for 4 yrs....stopped short of band attire.
Drums for awhile, some harmonica and some little accordian and keyboard. Work best on a cowbell. Remember Farrel on SatNiteLive.....
Finally realized that talent is different that practice.....and became a paying member of the audience.
BEX YOU SHOULD PLAY OUT
But to me, the really talented are those that can fire rhyme. Unique skill.
