    Holy water irony

    Most of you remember that Just Because lost her house in a devastating fire last May. In that fire she lost just about everything, including holy water. So, when I told her I was going to Rome and I asked her what kind of souvenir she wanted, she instantly replied, "Holy Water." Tomorrow, I am having lunch with her and giving it to her. It was blessed THREE times by the pope. Once before it was even sold to me at the Vatican shop, again during the New Year's Day mass, and then one more time while I stood in St. Peter's Square for the annual New Year's Day blessing. My friend who is a priest said it was really only blessed once since the first one took, but I'm still counting the other two blessings as bonuses! I guess some could say the initial holy water didn't help, since there was indeed a fire, but perhaps it did: her family was not harmed in it after all. I guess we will never know. JB is still not in her home. It has been a difficult process and yet I have never heard her complain. She is one tough, yet sweet lady!

We did, thanks Margo. We talked about the cruise and now I am getting really excited about it. I hope Toni gets to go. She has so much going on right now though. Her and her hubby just HAVE to be on that boat! The stress they have had to endure...

You ladies have a good time. Whenever I think I have problems, I think of Toni and Chris, displaced still.
