Summer event season is in full swing in the Quad City area. And as the events go on, so does severe weather.
Event organizers must plan for any possible weather conditions. Burlington Steamboat Days President and Des Moines County Sheriff, Mike Johnson, said organizers run through exercises with emergency management crews.
"We think of all possible scenarios that could happen at Steamboat Days," he said.

FYI, I do not influence my kid to hate Kid Rock. By showing her the GQ photos, my intention was simply that she would be scared straight!
So, I have a poster of Tomas Holmstrom celebrating a goal with Kid Rock also celebrating in the crowd. I got Holmstrom's autograph last week in Novi, wonder what my chances are of getting "Kid Rock's". I have my ticket's for the April 5th show in Saginaw, that would be a awesome if somehow I got it signed then. Sometimes wishes do come true.
