Summer event season is in full swing in the Quad City area. And as the events go on, so does severe weather.
Event organizers must plan for any possible weather conditions. Burlington Steamboat Days President and Des Moines County Sheriff, Mike Johnson, said organizers run through exercises with emergency management crews.
"We think of all possible scenarios that could happen at Steamboat Days," he said.

I had the best time this weekend! My cousin got married, we partied down. I got to see my two favorite bands ever play the same stage, it was awsome. We partied some more! Danced my butt off! Every time I see Kid Rock and Twisted Brown Trucker they get better and better. I love the old stuff, I love the new stuff! Anything they do sounds good and is getting better each time.
