Kid Rock did an interesting interview with WDIV-TV (Channel 4 in Detroit) that hit a variety of topics.
Mlive Media Group DETROIT, MI - Kid Rock's media interview blitz continues to promote his new "Rebel Soul" album.
He invited WDIV-TV sports director Bernie Smilovitz into his Clarkston, Mich. studio for a wide-ranging two-part interview that covered a variety of interesting topics.
The first portion of the interview aired around midnight Monday after the Lions' loss to the Packers in Green Bay; the second portioin is expected to air sometime after 11 p.m. Monday on WDIV-TV (Channel 4 in Metro Detroit).
Two topics Smilovitz said during the broadcast will be addressed in the second portion: Kid Rock on what it's like to party with actor Sean Penn and his thoughts on a Detroit mayoral candidacy.
A few of the Kid Rock interview highlights from the first portion:
Rock on why in frequents Tigers, Lions and Pistons sporting events:
“It’s simple: people are really nice to me and they give me good seats. I think everybody would attend a lot of games if that was the case. I was born and raised around here, whether it was 'Hockey Night in Canada on channel 9 when I was growing young or my dad taking me to Pistons games out this way. Like most people, I was into sports as a kid; it just seems part of my life.”
Rock on why his sports career didn't take off after playing baseball, football and basketball up until he was about 15 years old:
"It's very tough for me to take orders."
Rock on his support of Mitt Romney during the presidential campaign, and meeting President Barack Obama recently at the Kennedy Center Honors:
“I just did what I felt was right (supporting Romney). At the end of the day, hey, it is what it is. I saw the president the other night…it was funny, he’s like, ‘I’m still here, yeah, he’s like, 'Hey Rock! I’m still here.'” (I said to him) No hard feelings man."
Kid Rock on meeting Obama:
"It’s just another one of those… mind boggles. mind boggles (type of moments). I just wanted to get in this business, maybe get a hot girl and a car, and somehow I had my finger caught in the cookie with the next leader of the free world!”
Kid Rock on whether or not there could be a Mrs. Kid Rock in the future:
"Well, you know, I can say, I’ve raised my son; single father, whose now grown up. I’ve saved for a rainy day. Why screw that all up and get married? …At this point I’ve learned to keep my private relationships private. God forbid something should happen to me, then (a potential wife) would my baggage falling on them."

Here's the way I see it.
Here's the way I see it. There has been a length of time and no engagement. Now, tons of women will honor the "this is my exclusive arrangement." But, after that period of time with no further committment ("put a ring on it"), lots of women won't. Should be interesting on the cruise. LOL.
I'm just giggling, thinking,
I'm just giggling, thinking, if the cruise is, "open season" you should uncross your legs, Roxy ;)
Blue, thanks for the link.
It's all in our experiential. Good people who accept us for all we are, and are not, do exist. Albeit, they are the proverbial "needle..." if you are lucky enough to find them, you may find yourself doing things you NEVER thought. That said, never say never. I wish all my friends and family had that in their lives/relationships. I can not imagine adding fame. I'd question everyone's motive to ad nauseum.
Hope you're all doing well. Happy holidays, whatever you're celebrating. I'll see some of you on NYE and the rest of you f'rs on da boat (mother fucker) !!

Also, laughing remembering
Also, laughing remembering the Channel 9 reference--used to be that if u lived around Detroit, you got channels 2 (CBS) 4, (NBC) and 7 (ABC). The stations you could get, but that were fuzzy, were 9 (Windsor, Canada), 50 and 62 (Fox Stations.) Anyone else remember that?
About the wifey thing-marriage is a very tough gig. Not that it isn't worth it, but very over-rated sometimes..I think re-doing marriage is a very difficult thing to do again once you have gotten older and have more life experiences. Throw in KR's money and fame factors, and it complicates tenfold. If he is lucky enough to find a Good Woman who is OK with no matrimony, then kudos. It can be a tough sticking point. Personally, I wish interviewers would quit asking about it, but 'inquiring minds want to know.' Me, I prolly would not do it again (neither would my sister)..that is not to say we are unhappy..just over it. Besides, They may be already hitched, just not advertising it (website blows up at this point--HEHEEEE)
Seriously, I wish the guy the
Seriously, I wish the guy the best of luck with his homelife. It's vital.
That it is. Stability at home
That it is. Stability at home is a good thing.
The guy has been in long-term relationships before; it's not like he is allergic to them, or not successful at them. Maybe it's a case of 'once bitten, twice shy.'
Hell, it sure as is with me,

I told my hubby about Barack
I told my hubby about Barack's comment to Kid (Hey Rock! I'm still here!), and hubby said KR should have said "SO AM I !!"

I saw the interview on the link you posted earlier Blue. Good interview. I always love to hear what Bob is thinking. Funny comment about marriage, but he said on Howard Stern that he had someone special in his life currently. He also added something like, "give me some time, I'll screw that up too".On Sunday Morning he just said that he would not go looking for love in Hollywood and that there was someone in his life. I sure hope that he is happy and content at this point in his life.
