A Robin Hood pact with promoter Live Nation on ancillary coin might redefine the concert biz

Where I grew up, there were no rich people. No bankers, no rightwing titans ranting the poor were lazy and the government was taking all their hard-earned money. Some dads worked for the electric company, others sold insurance or held blue-collar jobs.
Ok, so your daughter is too young to know my nieces then. I think I know where your sub is, if it's the first sub on the east side of Huron River Dr. before Territorial?
Damn, I would've been pissed...leaving a teenage girl at a truck stop, nice...& during a tornado!
Yes, my sister had a hard time getting to a gas station that night for their generator, what a mess!
We live in the Hidden Woods Sub off of Huron River Drive, about a half mile south of Territorial. My neighbor got some amazing photos that I put up on Facebook. He even got a lightning strike! The succession of the pics from beginning till end are just incredible. My daughter is a freshman at DHS. She was out driving at the time of the tornado, she's in driver's ed. The damn instructor dropped them off at Arbys at the "T and A" truck stop and left them there so he could go check on his wife! As soon as I was able to leave the basement, I rushed out to pick her up, but I couldn't get through town. I was frantic! Luckily, the other girl's dad was on that side of town and he brought her to me...It was awful...
I'm going to venture over to Hudson Mills today to run with my dog and check out the park...
OMG Lisa, small world! She lives off of Chamberlin Rd. her last name is Scott...she has a 22yr daughter & a 19yr daughter that went to Dexter schools, your kids are a little younger right? She works in Dexter at an Ins. agency, they were swamped on Fri. with claims.
Her neighbor snapped a picture of the tornado, I saw it on FB, it looked like it was over N.Territorial & Huron River Dr. My sister never saw it thank god, I think it would've made it worse!
Her power was supposed to be back on Friday night, the last time I talked to her.
Yes it is awesome the way the community is coming together there...it is amazing that no was
seriously injured or died.
You Guys okay? I'm reading and realize We are talking NW of Salem-----I remember the sky turning green several years ago----in Livonia---and just dead sillent-----wierdest thing I've ever known
Margo, I live in Dexter too! Right across from Hudson Mills...I watched that freakin tornado head straight for my house, ran downstairs, and luckily we had no damage. It kept going down along the river, I guess...We just got our power back on. Wouldn't it be a hoot if your sis and I know each other! I've never seen anything like it...My daughter has tons of friends that live in Huron Farms, and she and her friends spent the day there yesterday helping out...I am proud to say I am from Dexter! What a great community! Thank God no one was injured...I can't imagine what some of these people are dealing with. I am so grateful!
It was a slow moving storm that just seemed to sit over Ann Arbor for the longest time. Fox 2 Detroit is reporting 13 homes severely damaged. Earlier, they reported 4 inches of rain in one hour's time. The sky by me was green but we were on the northern edge of it. I feel so bad for the people who don't have a home tonight. My nephew was on the UM bus when I called him and I told him to head for his dorm's basement. He's fine, thankfully.
forgot to add that after the storm, we had a beautiful purple sky.
My sister lives in the Dexter, near Hudson Mills Metro Park where there was some tornado damage. She's ok thankfully & no damage to her house...their power is out, lots of downed tress & power lines...scary shit.
I pray that everyone is
I pray that everyone is allright. I just heard that one is heading for Texas. A friend of mine tried to post a photo of that coming her way. Thank God that no one was hurt in Dexter.
All are well, no deaths of
All are well, no deaths of pets or people. They asked that no more volunteers go to the area (they had too many). God has blessed Dexter.
Lots of structural damage, no loss of life I've heard of as yet. Sounds like the townships are giving plenty of warning, in order to make sure family are safe and to get family pets in a safe haven. Hope the news does not change.
