Has spring is getting near many here in Michigan to include myself will be climbing back on our Harleys to not only ride and enjoy this great State but also work with many events that help the Cancer Community, our Vets, MD, and many other Chairitys.

To me that is what makes the brotherhood and sisterhood of the bike community so awesome. For those in Michigan many seen the Cancer Tribute Bike Diamond P Chopper unvieled last Jan in Bay City by Vinnie and Cody of VForce Customs and now AC Jr Vs Sr.

The bike i had built to remember those who have passed and those who are fighting my father died in 1984 to Cancer and would be the driving force behind this project , myself and wife who own a Auto Repair Shop in Midland Mi would take this Chopper to 37 events last year we dont charge for the bike to be at a event we just ask the event is used to help raise money for the Cancer Community.

Along the way theres been many ups and downs the whole plan was to give the bike away this year and money to go to ACS . When your just a small name in a state that has been threw the worst ecom downturn its hard to get the missin statement out there again funded by no outside help we have watched one door after another closed on us trying to do something i simply call Pay It Forward.

Always a Kid Rock fan Kids staying in touch with his Michigan roots much like Bob Seger always has made me drive forward knowing many of the vids we have done to events were to KR songs since so many embodie the very sole of this bike.

With so many fans the chance of Bob reading this is like winning the lotto however i belive and my goal would be to see Kid give this one off chopper away at a concert and proceeds of the cost of the bike be donated to ACS or a Michigan based cancer org .

Of all the people i have been blessed to meet seeing Bob at the Machine shop in Flint area was a highlight for me . Fans come in many shapes and Styles iam not the crazed type just someone who belives in what Kid stands for and his Roots here in Michigan.

When you listen to the song on born free dedicated to Detroit understand many towns here have shared the same fait when we lead the ride in Flint Bikes on the bricks it allowed us to see a part of Flint a once thriving town reduced now to empty buildings and alot of poverty.

A long winded note hoping somehow Kid gets to read god knows we have done all we can with this bike to help but his help would close the chapter on a Vision for the whole Cancer community.

@ Fred, ha ha does Canada even want her?
I was disappointed when DeVos didn't win last time-I call Jenny "The Big Talker".
I'm sure she is a very nice person, even if she will be teaching at Berkeley, LOL, she may want to move there, hee hee! maybe she can help Calif. with their economic problems-NOT!

Thanks for the kind words and i too belive in KR's statement it will be the people of Michigan that will get the train back on the tracks, having Grandmole shipped back on the trash barge to Canada was a good start.

Good luck, Fred. Sounds like you have done a lot yourself, and as a Mid-Michigan resident, i appreciate your efforts. Detroit, Flint, Saginaw...all once great cities in trouble for years now, so sad. In my younger years I worked on the east side of Detroit, then in Flint, now I live near Saginaw. I've seen it all. I think we are on our way back, though...just a feeling i have, Morley is adding 900 new jobs in Saginaw, we have a new governor who is business-savvy, so I am hoping for the best! Lost my Dad to cancer too, May God Bless You in what you are doing. Like KR said, the ppl will be the ones to turn it around (paraphrasing an interview I saw).
