Once upon a time, a Kid Rock show in Detroit was something all my people wanted to go to. It was the cool thing to do, the cool place to be, a good time for all. Now my mom wants to go, my aunt calls for tickets, and my teachers from High School frequent the shows. Once upon a time, he was a devil without a cause, now he is all religous during his shows, making me feel as if he is a zealot without a cause. The lyrics and content used to be on the edge, its what made him who he is, now its pathetic and same ole same ole. Why do I hold on?
ya know when a Dad can tell
ya know when a Dad can tell that he did the best job Dad in the world? Well, glad you asked, it is when their child is a reflection of them only maybe just a tad better version. Dad says, that when a Dad does a great job as a Dad is when they can look at their kids and know that their children or child are just a little better in life as a person, responsibilities, etc than they were. I think that must be a good way to tell. Makes sense one generation is suppose to teach the next, that way they learn from the older's mistakes and have a chance at better things in life, be spiritual / mental/ emotional/ physical / financial. I just realized, parent child relationship is a lot like most, it's not the quantity of time it is the quality.
