    The line "I'm the only John Wayne left in this town" is also in a 2004 song by Big & Rich called "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy". It was a hit song on the country charts and also was used in an ESPN commercial so it got wide play.

thanks folks! I lucked into this one, I don't listen to country at all and never heard the other song. I was very happy that a friend quoted it in passing! :-)

Jade, another reason you gotta start listening to some of that country music I've been nagging you about -LOL. Just bought Jason Aldean tickets for my daughter's birthday gift. He'll be at Pine Knob (DTE) in September and is really talented. Anyway, love what you always find out. Rock on! Love that "Save a Horse" song, too. Hee Haw!!!!
