Heard a song by Fun think it is called Some Nights being used to advertise some product, it is just that it is so messed up that they are using that song to promote a product because at the end of the song they say, wonderful things came from lying . If that is my song and it goes right with Through Glass, Stone Sour sings the stars lie, and Sixx AM Lies of the Beautiful people, I just keep saying they were doing more than lying .

I just watched KR's video for "American Bad ass" and wondered what someone in the Netherlands or England would think of it. In the video are bearded bikers, bikini girls (universally appealing), women mud-wresteling, and Kid's American Bravado before the "Stars and Stripes" of the American flag. Does it seem at all bizarre to you? Or has Hollywood/the Internet, etc., so saturated you with American culture that you feel that you relate to it, enjoy it, or however you might explain it? I'd love to hear your opinion, my European (or Asian...) friends.

We have bearded bikers and bikinigirls (often without their bikinitop on) in Europe too :-)! Kid Rocks videos seem to me pretty normal, but American talkshows or realityshows with all of their crying, fighting, over the top drama and doublestandards I find bizarre, and also all of your censorship... Kid Rock is just a normal guy, who likes boobs, bikes and booze, just like any other guy in any other part of the world :-)

The drama they create, incite, and perpetuate offends me to my core! Interesting you bring up censorship...In The Land of the Free...with Constitutionally Protected Free Speech...how do you see it? Having been abroad a fair enough share, I appreciate your perspective. I find it a bit absurd Kid's lyrics are often censored yet offensive talk/reality shows get away with what they do. Plus so much TV is lightly censored (if at all, it seems) sex, drugs, and rock n roll, yet when Kid sings about it, he is censored?!?! Somethin' ain't right! I, too, believe Kid Rock is a normal boobs-bikes-and-booze loving man...God Bless Him :) ...although I'd add in awesome, too :)

We dont live in the middle ages overhere lol , MTV Europe started in 1986 I think, so we are used to some video clips , and the plus side there is almost NO censorship overhere so how raunchy a clip is it will be shown unedited , heck the more bikini girls in a clip the better ! ,
You can also see it in reverse : A lot of television shows are first tested overhere in The Netherlands, and then imported to the US, does Endemol sound familiar Big Brother / Idols etc ? ,dont mean they are all top notch shows but you seem to like them, also by US television networks who "test " some shows / product out here and then introduce it in the US .
