    Dear Kid Rock,

    I have never been a fan. I'm a different generation and have liked a different kind of music. But I have to tell you, I love Detroit. I was born and raised there and have spent over half of my life living there and still support it every way I can. Over the past few years I've seen all of the things you do to promote Detroit. It really touches my heart. And you always do it and are seemingly tireless in your efforts. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring and promoting it as you do. Your kindness, love and generosity to the city and surrounding areas will not be forgotten. Of that I'm sure. And I now consider myself a fan. Gonna buy your album.'
