Thanks Bart and K8 for the info about the videos. I can see where he wouldn't want footage of the smaller concerts and what not on the cruise. I always get picture happy so I know I will be taking a lot of pictures and then videos of other things from the cruise. I just got a new camera for Christmas too that is supposed to take good video = ) I want to show my family and friends what they missed out. Ha ha.
I'm thinking I'll probably just shut my cell phone off too while on the boat. I don't really see any need to talk to anyone while we're away. I have Sprint so I guess it wouldn't hurt to check on the rates just in case. I went to Chicago a few months back and it kept saying I was roaming. I ended up being charged extra for that. Which makes no sense.
I have T-Mobile. I just shut my phone off while I was on the boat last year. Seems like the text rate was 75 cents per text. I forget what the talk time per minute was - but it was more than I wanted to spend. In order to get the international plan, I had to sign up for 6 months at that higher monthly rate. I just didn't think it was worth it for 4 days - where I wouldn't spend much time talking to people anyway.
Not to sound shitty, but I just told my friends/family that I will be gone without any contact for those 4 days. I'll pick up any messages when I get back to port. I sent my immediate family a text right before getting on the boat and right when we got off the boat.
I know some people had no trouble with their carriers, so everyone who is cruising should check on the options so you don't have that added expense to your vacation!
JT: I just bought my son a hand-held little camcorder for Christmas. (he wanted a flip camera, but this is one from Kodak and is waterproof and more durable for outdoor sports) I plan on bringing that on the boat, so I'll have some video to post when we get back.
Msb Sprint mobile has a plan for $65 that includes internet, text and calls to anywhere in the U.S and Canada, but you can only use the phone in the U.S

One of my cabin-mates lives in Calgary--She's a long time Friend---we've been searched at the Canadian border---survived tornadic thunderstorms---drove and walked miles together going to KrTbt shows---we lost touch for a couple of years---and now have picked back up---right where we left off :-)
Yes--- the international rates are ridiculous!!!!!!!! Wierdly enough----when I lived in Detroit----Canada wasn't an international phone call-----but here in Atlanta, Ga ---where I live now-----At&t is killing me----lol

Msb, I can't tell you how much I wish I could go. Aside from being on the same boat as Kid and Kracker, it would be cool to meet The people in the KRC like yourself. As for the cell phone issue, for me a BellCanada customer when I make a call from the U.S it costs me $1.40, I don't even want to think about the cost of making a call or going on the net outside of the U.S and Canada.
So let's be carefully put there. Lol
I'm calling the cell company before we leave US soil to find out about how exactly the rates will work while on the ship/island------i.e. what happens when people call You??
My cell phone is an old school flip phone that won't record anything------hell----the "vibrate" doesn't even work on it any more------and NO!!!!!! the reason why----is not what You are thinking :-)~

The only time I remember any requests about no video was in the actual live show on Friday and Saturday night.
I have never seen any videos from those live shows - like he requested, but plenty of the rest of the time on the boat. Sail-off shows, Q&A, late night DJ'ing, and other misc stuff from the lido deck.
We'll give you any updates we can, but it's tough because some cell phones charge crazy money for international plans and/or wifi connections.
I'm not the video police. I was just repeating something stated by Bob himself. It's the man's vacation. We all like to let lose on vacation and God knows we'd all probably think differently if our vacation videos, unbenounced to us, made it up on youtube. Not because we're famous, because we have reputible jobs and children...LoL I'm not making decissions for peeps. You can do what moves ya! I just won't go angainst what he's asked out of respect for him.

there are some video's on youtube from last year that i am sure he did not appreciate. that is a pretty crappy way to treat an artist who treats his fans as well as kid rock does. the man has a right to have a good time just like anybody else does without the world seeing it.

Kid doesn't love the videos so much while he's on vacation, he has specifically asked, on the boat, that NOT be done.
I for one, will post pictures for sure. He likes to party and have a good time and I think as far as videos go, what happens on that Mutha Fuc*ing Boat, stays. Not to say you won't see any. There are many people that disregard his requests. I just hope he'll want to keep partying with us and their actions won't ruin it for the future. I think giving the respect asked for, is the best guarantee for continued Kid/Fan trips that rock up and down the coast! :D
