    Coping with Cancer
Diana Avalos Leos says (29 Oct '11)

I don't know if this is the right place to post this discussion.   I will admit that most recently in the last 8 months have become a great fan of Kid Rock his Born Free CD has very special meaning to my life it has help me cope with my friend Robert fight with Lymphoma. Never before in my 44 years of life has an artist impacted my life by the words of his music. My friend is in the fight of his life and in his most darkest moments and most difficult times I can close my eyes to hear the words of Kid Rock music running through my head.  The owrds of "when it Rains" and "Times like These" and of course "Only God Knows Why"   I share with my friend he reminds me of a Kid Rock song "Never Met a Mother Fucker Quite Like Me' because my friend battling cancer is awesome gets up and keeps fighting the battle. Kid Rock music has helped me cope with this unfair illness, the devil called cancer. I have listened to Kid Rock eariler music which I also enjoy and can truly appreciate his talent and how his heart and music have evolved into making a change in this world. I have gained a further appreciation for Kid Rock!  As a person in a position to help others to provide hope for a better tomorrow I can't not help to embrace his song "CARE" as not only words to live by but to actual walk the talk. I wish I could attend his performance on Dec. 6th in Spokane, Washington unfortunately I can't afford the so-call $600 per person ticket cost, definitely not on a public school employee salary :-(    Needless to say I am beyond grateful for Kid Rock music it has help me cope, it has brought me strength, it has brought me tears, it has touch my soul and spirit.

    Thank you!!!!!!!!!

If You can somehow get to Nashville----Ajay is selling Her ticket to the Ryman----her thread is on the first page here. She has to work and has to sell her ticket---

Diana, its scalpers and such that resell the tickets for that much. I'm sorry if the show is already sold out, but KR tours regularly and now that you're here you can get tix the next time around more cheaply. join the fan club and you get first dibs on tickets.

and cancer sucks shit! Your friend is lucky to have a friend like you to help him. I wish you both strength and love. take care~
