Thanksgiving Day at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Sitting on the wall watching the beach activities when I saw two guys, locals, who took out a can of generic chunk tuna. They shared the can and I could hear them say "that was the best damn tuna ever". I couldn't help to feel for their situation. Especially on Thanksgiving. So my son and I went upstairs and made a plate of meatballs and grabbed two Pepsis for them. We couldn't afford Thanksgiving Dinner for the family but did have more than enough Meatballs. I have to say "this was the Best Thanksgiving Ever!!!"

It was the best Thanksgiving
It was the best Thanksgiving for us as well. We invited a very special, hardworking family to have dinner with us and spend time enjoying the UP. This family has seen their share of tough moments...Husband purple heart from IED in Iraq--Wife runs organization to help Vets..kids my own kids' age--we had a ball. Their first family vacation in many years. Their son got a buck while hunting...good people, good moments.
Freedom isn't free, folks.
