    Sort of.

I was watching CSPAN early this AM. It was a meeting taped from 11/13. The sub committee was discussing the economic impact on healthcare and biomedical research.

The Texas representative gave his opening statement, and used a football analogy to talk about issues in healthcare insurance..."Through the NFLs plan, if a football player is traded from somewhere to Dallas, his insurance goes with him. If a fan of that player moves to Dalls, his insurance does not and he has to start all over in a new state."

The next representative, also from Texas, gave his opening statement and began

For that Brown Fella elected a few weeks ago, a puzzle is how Detroit's auto makers should be reshaped by the hand of government, with a taxpayer bailout or by letting bankruptcy judges take charge? Both fixes have their supporters, BUT I AM TELLING YOU RIGHT HERE, neither would really solve the industry's essential problem.

Here's a better idea, one you haven't heard before, involving a contemporary curse word seldom used in the debate over the auto makers: "deregulation."

No, Washington wouldn't have to find the courage to amend the labor laws to end the Big 3's captivity by the UAW.

The hospital I work at has had a very low census over the last month. They have been sending nurses home due to the shortage of patients. While I enjoy having a night off, it does cut into my vacation time if I want to get paid...lol. This time of year is usually very busy, and I was wondering if other people in the medical profession around the country have been seeing the same thing?

I just checked the prices for the Borgata concert on Feb 13 and I almost fell over in my seat. 96.50! I am by no means poor, however, in order to take my son would be a 200.00 night. Last year, I bought them as a Christmas gift ..unless memory has failed me...I don't think I paid that much for them. That's such a shame...we have seen Kid Rock everytime he has come in our area...we all enjoy his music and never miss when he's in town...but 200.00! That doesn't include dinner, gas to get there, since I live in PA. Awwwhhh...so sad and disappointed right now.

okay this is a parenting story. My 18 yr old met this girl. He brought her home briefly the other day. I can overlook the face piercings, the dyed hair, whales tail...whatever. On the front a pretty and petite teenager. But WOW what an attitude. Okay so she looked pretty young so I asked her age. She wouldnt answer me directly. She lives with her gram (she didnt know I knew her grammy at the time). Tried to tell me her gram was fine with dating. So I put on the pressure and told her I wanted a direct answer.

God, you would of thought I'd be running the other way....but oh no, a glutton for punishment, no now wait a minute, this will take thought...I have spent the last 48 hours with my husband, oops I mean ex-husband. No, you don't have to re-read that last line, its true. What is the real twist, we actually had fun. Hung out talked about family, even got into some non touchable issues(for reall!) and even went out in public. Ya know I look at him, I see why I fell in love and then I also see why it ended this way.

    Memories enter-twined with each stitch.
    Tiny squares chosen with care.
Each a memory, holding a small piece of a heart.
Sewn together, held close to keep you warm.
Fond thoughts of the one who created this piecework of treasures.
    Used until tattered and worn.
Held together by strings and love.
Tiny squares salvaged, each a memory
    A memory creating a memory
    with loving care.

One evening an elder Indian Chief told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all ."

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"

    The elder chief simply replied,
