Just read about a bunch of good Michigan Samaritans who are going into local Kmarts and paying off people's layaways. They are taking care of the bill for those who have put childrens' coats, clothing, and boots on layaway. What a great way to help people out IN TIMES LIKE THESE.

With CNN having a "Heroes 2011" gig this Sunday, I was happy to hear that Kid Rock will be presenting an award and performing his hit single "Care" before his small gig in Malibu on Sunday. But, what I can't let settle is that with all that Kid Rock does and has done, making great music, raising money for charities, making the trek multiple times to see and perform for the troops oversees, speaking out and rallying support for his native Detroit, REALLY being there for his fans, and so many other things you all are in no doubt aware of, why isn't he one of the nominees for Hero of the Year?

We started playing "Name that Tune" from ITunes. Fun Fun game, but my kids did so much better than me. I recognized the songs and the bands, but couldn't remember the names, my kids just spit the names of the bands and title out, plus the songs were from the 60's through now, Good for them.

Went to the Chicago HOB Show Saturday night - it was AMAZING!!!! One of my favorites for sure (and I've actually lost count on how many I've been to).
Thank you Kid Rock & TBT for rockin it out for us fans - even tough many of you had the flu - believe me, nobody would have known that any of you were sick!
I absolutely love the small club venues - I hope to see more of them in 2012!!!
And although many people seem to have had some issues with the ticketing process, I thought it ran smoothly!

Army Pvt. Jack Diener II, age 20, of Boyne City, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, in combat while serving his country in Afghanistan. His Memorial Service will be Saturday December 10 at the Boyne City High School at 10:15 am. The Westboro Baptist Church is organizing a protest of his funeral. We are countering and calling on the people of Northern Michigan to show up and line the streets with signs in support of the Diener family. We have been in line for a little over a half hour now. We are extraordinarily excited! They start checking people in at 6:30 and doors open at 7:00 - Kid goes on at 8:00. Can't wait!! :-) We will post a review later on how it went.
