    Matt Stafford is just plain cool

    Watching the Espy's, Matt Stafford just won Best Comeback Player. Out for two years w/ shoulder injuries and throws for over 5000 yards this past year. In his acceptance speech, he of course paid kudos to teammates, and fans, but also paid an incredible tribute to the city in just a few words. Love people that don't bail on Detroit for better pastures. Kudos to Matt Stafford, I know he won't bail on Detroit, cuz he will become our Franchise QB when his contract expires. We will do for him, what we did for Calvin. God I love Detroit Sports.

    Grand Prix on Belle Isle

    This has nothing to do w/ NFL, except Ndamukong Suh from the Lions was the Grand Marshall of the Grand Prix. I suggest anyone that did not go this year to the Grand Prix, go next year, We had an incredible weekend on the island, I know nada, nothing, nil about racing and I had an absolute blast. This infused about 50-75 million into the local economy, something the D needs desperately. Also my son read a stat that said Saturdays ticket sales topped all Grand Prix ticket sales ever.!!! They haven't tabulated Sundays ticket sales yet but they obviously expect it to be much higher.

    Holy crap, I love baseball, football, hockey Duh? And this has nothing to do w/ Kid Rock or NFL, (just the closest sports related thread) My newest favorite sport is horse racing, 'I'll Have Another' just won the Preakness in Maryland, Kentucky Derby 2 weeks ago. (congrats Maryland peeps, I'll definitely be rooting and watching the Belmont. GO "I'll HAVE ANOTHER!" and I think I will do just that!

    I'm not surprised, I knew GB would have to release him realistically, & probably legally. Not surprised he signed with an AFC team either...keeps him from competing against his NFC Packers more or less.

    Was at 40 Field, Ford Field yesterday for the state football...

    So much fun yesterday, went to the Michigan High School football championship at Ford Field, (Lake Orion won) but even better, we sat just three rows up from where my seats are for his 40th party at 40 Field. It was general admission, we couldn't pick our seats. Karma, or an extreme coincidence!

    Any interest here for another NFL Yahoo Pickem Challenge League...

    Hey ya'll...I've founded a Yahoo NFL Pickem Challenge League for Kid Rock fan clubs members, who are also NFL fans...every year for several years now.However, the communitydoesn't seem to be as active as it once waswhen 'fresh' and 'young', haha...not sure there are enough participating members who would want to join a Pickem League. Let me know if you're interested, and if we can gather enough members to make it competively fun for all, I will happily set up our Kid Rock Community Yahoo NFL Pickem Challenge League as done in years past. :)

    had to post this. When I'm a guest on this Sirius/XM college football talk show, I request that they play Kid Rock music for my lead-in. Jason O., the producer of this radio show, is a native Michigander and is always happy to oblige.

    Show is produced by Rivals Radio out of Nashville.

    Intro you'll like. The rest of the content won't be received well by U of M fans, or non college football fans, but the first :12 seconds are really all that matter, a subtle homage to Kid Rock.

    Hi everyone, I am trying like hell to get Kid Rock to host the halftime show. I have started a page on facebook called         Kid Rock to host superbowl halftime show 2012    Please log on to facebook and like this page. Then Tell your friends, spread the word and lets make this happen. If it worked or Betty White, it could work for us. It is time to bring back kickass halftime shows and not the snooze fests that they have become.

    My team is the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS! This first post is intentionally long...patience please, I'm introducing my Chiefs blood, no short cuts! :)

    I was 'almost' born with red & gold blood, haha. My dad (RIP) became a Chiefs fan when they moved to KC in 1963 from Dallas, formerly the Dallas Texans. I remember in grade school dad watching a rare game or two aired on TV...Chiefs were AFL, no NFL as we know it today, not many games aired on TV.

    Dad began giving me red & gold blood transfusions from 1963 on, by the time I was an adult red & gold was in my veins!

    I know I might not get much love here, being a born and raised dedicated, loyal, FAITHFUL 49er fan but I just had to come here and express my joy and happiness for my hometown team.. Watched the first half with my hs football playin' son..we we're later joined in the 2nd half by my daughter and my 2 year old grandbaby..(Love to all...GO NINERS..................................................

    Lions may be kitties but some kitties are feral, even rabid, and besides, the Saints are pussies.  GO LIONS!!!!  either way we are on our way.  Love me some STAFFORD, some CALVIN, and some SUHHHHHH!!!  GO LIONS!!!

    Ok, If I understand this correctly, here is what Lions fans want to happen...  Tonight we want New Orleans to beat Atlanta, that would put us in the fifth seed, then we would meet either the Giants or Dallas in the first round.  If Atlanta wins then we meet either the Saints or the 49ers.  Those teams are pretty hot right now.  Either way WE ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS!!!!  Thanks for the Christmas present Lions and Coach Schwartz.  GO LIONS, and RED WINGS, and TIGERS, and of course my beloved SPARTANS.  What a great sports year they have given us.
