    Pretty cool.....

    Subject: The $20 Ticket

Can Kid Rock change the concert business?

    His father sold Lincolns.

Where I grew up, there were no rich people. No bankers, no right wing titans ranting the poor were lazy and the government was taking all their hard-earned money. Some dads worked for the electric company, others sold insurance or held blue-collar jobs. The upper middle class were doctors and lawyers. And just beneath this tier were the auto dealers.

Kid Rock: Rap-Rocker Gets Bored on the Road Between Shows -- Potent Quotables

"Playing the show is easy, but what do you do for the other 22 hours? Nothing positive. There's only so many antiques stores ... There's no more antiques to buy." -- Kid Rock

Even after his long career, Kid Rock still hasn't mastered the art of passing time on the road when he's in transit between concerts. Maybe that would be a good time to write some new songs?

I miss Howard too. Not sure which version, pretty much lived through all his reincarnations. No matter how Stern might hit you, credit given for being a major supporter and breaker of Kid Rock and the Twisted Brown Trucker Band.

Proof? Go google some Stern and Kid Rock, or go to YouTube.com and do the same.

Sure hope Howard is satisfied and happy, worked hard, and deserves it. And Bob should be very very thankful.

Bob Lefsetz (industry expert and genius deluxe) sends emails every day. He makes my head hurt but he is mostly right. This is his latest on Stern.

Please be aware that clowns on this site find it entertaining as hell to razz new members, contacting them and pretending they are Bob. May they burn in hell when their time comes for being so cruel.

But there it is, been going on since the dawn of time with fan such, not invented by this club, FB, emails and phone calls.

Please ladies (and gents), question all non verifiable internet chat or correspondence. Do you really think Bob is taking the time out of his tour or new CD or life in general to woo you online?

Since we've cut back, not a lot of media and news articles are being provided in Bob's news section. Will add a few in the community forum to stimulate some fact based discussions. If you like, say so. If not, say why and what you'd like.....

Also always and forever, if you are a Bob/TBT and/or influences news junkie like me, there is no better place on earth than checking in with a great British longstanding site: extremekidrock.net

The main page is run by owner John, and provides the latest hot news, insider info, and videos of all events.

Great, 48 whole hours to respond. Lovely. Did anyone participate? Care to share your impressions of the new mocked up fan site?

Don't let the time limits limit you. Bob reads this site. What changes do you want? What problems do you need corrected?

Think the presales have been ridiculously supported. TopSpin doesn't even publish the phone number.

Rumor has it that this site is divided. The forum and other aspects are handled by a party other than TopSpin. Lovely again. I pay the same I paid Artist Arena. Service?

How a New York City Rock Kid Fell for George Jones and Tammy Wynette

Posted: 04/27/2013 8:54 am "If we could, we'd all sing like George Jones" - Waylon Jennings

Truth be told, it's been awhile since I just sat down and banged one of these here drivel-spews out.

    But...

    George Jones died Friday.

I was 15. I'd been playing guitar for a whole 4 years. I knew Keith Richards was the greatest guitar player on the planet. I'd enjoyed Laugh-In as much as half the world did.

I just realized when I heard yesterday of his passing that it was actually his, concert that was my first, about 7 I guess. My Dad sent me and my sisters and I will never forget b/c that was when my Sisters told me that my puppy had gotten hit by a car on the dirt road behind our house on Lake Orion, Mi. I don't even know if there is a dirt road there anymore, prob all houses. I guess they thought the best time to tell me was at a concert where I was happy about other stuff.

My wife recently bought tickets to Kid Rock. “They were only $20 each,” she said. Twenty bucks? Has he fallen that far? I wondered. As it turns out, the five-time Grammy nominee is doing just fine.

Although Kid Rock is now offering an affordable summer concert option with his $20 Best Night Ever Tour, he recently admitted to participating in scalping his own tickets in order to make a bigger profit.

The rocker-turned-country artist explained to CNN’s Piers Morgan that it’s not an uncommon practice in today’s entertainment industry.
