Why not have your very own Kid Rock BBQ this summer, smash out the burgers beam and some beers and blast out Kid Rock  "from the break of dawn till the early morn".

Here are just a few notes of things I've found lately about songs on the Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast album... feel free to add, correct or comment:

Style of X-pression: samples the song "Love and Understanding." this is the part that says "Everybody all over the world, its time for understandin', come together!" Kool & The Gang sings this song, but the sample sounds slightly different. its either from a recording that I haven't yet found or an interpolation.

    With a One-Two
Samples from "China Grove" by Doobie Brothers (the intro to both songs use the same riff.

there is a sample on the song "With a One Two" (on Grits) saying "Make it Nasty" http://www.kidrocklyrics.net/g-withaone.htm

I finally found a clip of the song it came from... it does seem to be from the song Make it Nasty on that vinyl album I was looking for by Double EE & MC Twin.  Here is the YouTube of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCBlUNUfbqY&feature=youtu.be

A New Year, Kid Rock same ole"

Kid Rock, has cd's of every Color of choices. Music that is: Really have you seen Mr. Bob lately, Is Kid Rocks finger still waiving or has Kid chose to waive with a finger five waive, see Kid Rock resonates & streams through alot of fans veins for real.

So what I have seen as of lately is a more user friendly Kid Rock, face it our country is sue happy & to gain control if one must, just stay clear of the drama & un friendly situations. Lmbo at a saying "Can't we all get along"

Happy New Year to all & for sure be prosperious!!!

    Love all/Hate none>

    [emphasis mine]

SPECIAL THANX 2: Your mama, Romeo High School for 3 solid years of a Big Joke, the World Champion Detroit PIstons, all the gay men in the world--just more girls 4 me, and all U 2-faced, fake ass, backwards country fu--s who hate Kid Rock... BLOW ME

EXTRA SPECIAL THANX to you closed-minded bastards who wouldn't let us sample your ancient, crusty-ass music.  What's the worst that could of happened? You could have made some money.  And on the serious tip, if you think about it, sampling

This song is a deep masterpiece with lots of soul, blues, and slow rock..  whether it's Kid Rock's voice or the instruments used to make the song, it gives me chills everytime I listen to it.  I've learned to love all the songs off the new album.. but this song just tops them all for me.

Hope to hear it at a show in the near future :)

    Happy Thanksgiving Everyone !!

The Cramper, from FIre It Up... also seems to be the same version as on Polyfuze.

incidently, the phone number given for Time Warner Cable is still the same phone number for them (in Brooklyn/Queens).

I have never done this before and I'm sure Kid Rock doesn't read these threads, but maybe this will make another Kid Rock fan smile. I have 19 month old daughter who LOVES the Born Free Album. I love Kid Rock and his music, but I didn't realize it rubbed off on my daughter. She will actually cry if anything else is playing in the car...to the point where its frustrating on long car trips. Her favorite is Born Free. It's the first time I've ever heard her sing (at about 15 months) I looked in my mirror and saw my daugher singing "oh oh oh oh oh" along with the song. I was shocked.
