Kid received the Edward McNamara Goodfellow of the Year Award today for his continued support of the city of Detroit.  Congratulations to him!  So glad his efforts are appreciated and recognized.  The KRC knows what kind of heart he has but it is so nice that others are seeing it, too.  Way to go Mr. Ritchie!

I was on the top row, think it was 119. Its was fkn awsome for me. Free ticket from an old employer and friends group of 6 (6pk deal). I could see the storm blow in from the west, the lightening was all over while Hagar jammed. After intermission, Kid Rock was playing and this beautiful woman (straw cowboy hat w/feathers, daisey dukes, and a half shirt) went down the step to my left. Now i was the 6th person from the steps to our area, so she couldnt of seen me when she approached from the otherside.

7:20 pm opening act 'Community House Band' from GA. opens and plays until 7:55 pm. I guess I would characterize it as Appalatian mountain music.

8:30 pm opening strains of Journey song come on with pics of 40 years of our favorite guy.

He's a stand Up Guy...   Wonder how many of you are?

the rock group DC Hawks?  Detroit City Hawks were around in the 70s and early 80s and toured with Ted Nugent. 

So the cable guy shows up this morning and we start talking about the Steven Tyler book sitting on my table when he informs me he played the drums and toured with Ted Nugent! A little sceptical, thinking yeah right, I looked it up on u tube and sure enough there he was Mark "Animal" Gerhard. 

That was kinda fun.  I met Ted Nugent back when I was 17 or 18.  Got his autograph... won't tell you where.  Sigh...memories.

Any way, I don't remember them just wondered if you do?

The 2 performances at Comerica Park on August 12th and 13th, ROCKED!! I couldn't afford to get a VIP ticket, but...I bought a $49.50 ticket for each night, and went both nights for less than 1 VIP ticket. As much as I would love to have that VIP Kid Rock Detroit Tigers Jersey, I would do the same thing all over again, because.....THERE AIN'T NO PARTY LIKE A DETROIT PARTY.... (even if the second night had a little rain delay)    Maybe that jersey will be available for purchase on here, sometime???
