There was a recent thread about Kid's worth. I don't know if the info was accurate or not but regardless, I told my husband about it, saying Kid supposedly made this last year and his net worth is this...to which my husband replied, "And how much of that did we give him?" LOL
Kid: Could you one day buy my husband a beer or something? *chuckle

    ...........

On rekindling his partnership with Kid Rock: “We were on different paths for the last seven years. I helped him write a couple of songs on the last record. Lately, we’ve connected more than we had in a long time. We’re gearing up for this next tour with ZZ Top, and I’m sure we’ll be writing.

“In the past it always worked out that my record would come out and I had to tour, and when I was done his record would come out. The cycles never worked out.

I was just flicking through the channels and came across the show, "Destination Michigan" on WCMU (public broadcast channel). The show was featuring the Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore and I caught the last 5 minutes of it or so. Two men in a sightseeing boat were talking about how the unique lake shore and its sandstone cliffs used to be a well hidden secret but in the past decade or so, with the advent of better roads and KID ROCK's influence (alluding to the Born Free video), the secret is now out.

It's been 35 years since Sandy (Olivia Newton John) and Danny (John Travolta) sang those lines in the 1978 movie titled, "Grease." AMC will commemorate the anniversary of this iconic film by showing it at 7:30 p.m/ 6:30 p.m Central, this Thursday (June 6). It just isn't Summer for me until I watch it and sing along. I had a neighbor friend who blared the album from her room and I could hear her singing it at the top of her lungs (no airconditioning in either houses so our windows would always be open in the summer). To this day, I always think of her when I hear any of the Grease tunes.

I saw Kracker last night at the Hoedown and in reference to the other post about his recent weight loss; he needs to buy regular shirts now, instead of long. His clothes were too big (lol). He truly put on a great show. He paid homage to both Bob Seger and Bob Ritchie, and Johnny Cash as well. The crowd was young, drinking to excess, and where I was, not really paying much attention to the music. People were talking over the music in their own little groups. They were there to party-it wasn't about the music. I just shook my head. Matt is thin but the voice is as large as ever.

Besides the Big Tire, it was what my hometown was known for. Does anyone else remember the show taped at Thunderbowl in Allen Park? I ran into Bob Allison a couple of years ago at a PBS event and he was shocked I went up to him and remembered who he was. He looked the same, just older. I was just a youngin when the show was on but we watched it faithfully.

NEW YORK (AP) — Kid Rock is a scalper.

The 42-year-old Grammy winner, who is launching a summer tour where most tickets are priced at $20, said he's scalping about 1,000 tickets from each show to make up for the cheaper regular price.

"I'm in the scalping business, but you know what? We told everyone. A lot of artists have been doing this for years behind fans' backs, taking all these backdoor deals," he said. "We look at StubHub and other places and see what they're selling them for and we just undercut them."

Kid Rock's "$20 Best Night Ever Tour" kicks off June 28 in Bristow, Va., and the
