Once upon a time, a Kid Rock show in Detroit was something all my people wanted to go to. It was the cool thing to do, the cool place to be, a good time for all. Now my mom wants to go, my aunt calls for tickets, and my teachers from High School frequent the shows. Once upon a time, he was a devil without a cause, now he is all religous during his shows, making me feel as if he is a zealot without a cause. The lyrics and content used to be on the edge, its what made him who he is, now its pathetic and same ole same ole. Why do I hold on?
The Sheepdogs were on Project Runway, and most of the designs they had to wear were epic failures!! They seem like a solid band and good people. Great line-up -- I better get to see 'em!! I pulled off a miracle twice before, and this go around is chump change -- it will happen dammit!!
Awesome line up. Wish i could be there! Hope to hear reports from the ppl that do go. Tried listening to Yelawolf and his sound really isn't my cup of tea. Out of rap i lean more towards the sounds of Haystak and Jellyroll and my country/rap/rock group Moccasin Creek. Love the rest of the line up though. Can't be mean towards Yelawolf or hating though, he just does his thing.
Glad for you lucky peeps who get to go. Sounds like a solid musical cruise. Perhaps next year, 2013 will be my year to sail off with ya's....I am hoping i will be fairly busy with obtaining more of an education this coming year....
