    APRIL showers...NOT SNOW !

    Im like OMG MICHIGAN quit sharing the S-N-O-W... I dont wanny...  the reason being I have first year Raspberries the thornless kind and Lilas budding I fear if they get ICE it might kill all the hard work Iv'e put in a few plants I stuggled and strived over the deer managed to devour...reordering is not fun....

    I may plant a slew of raspberries and start a little buisness a fiend of mine has and made 2,000 last summer I was like neat she says yeah YOU should do tha...

wow this also I very old archival post but ironically still into play the snow is however melting away and I got a vision of spring to come I am hoping.

My Dad grew raspberries, they grew like weeds once he got them started. Except for the thorns, l-o-t-s, they are a great crop, though quickly perishable. We're surrounded by wild ones on the property here, I can get a full quart bag in 10 min. My Mom made sauce and canned it, yum. Real homemade vanilla ice cream with a dollop of that sauce was out of this world.

This is frickin' crazy weather, PKL. I am just about ill of it.
It got cold so quick in the 'Fall'- I still have frozen pots of dead plants out on my backporch.
Crazy snow all winter, now a late spring, and windy as all get out, too.
Hope we have a nice summer!

PKL and MYIRISHEYES, I always used to put April 8th as my last day for snow, don't remember why but obviously that has been bumped up by 10 days. And on Tax Day, even, someone just doesn't like us. Our spring has sprung. I love spring, Love the few weeks of the lilacs. probably won't happen this year. I live in our fine state because I love the four seasons, but not when spring is stolen from us. ICK.
