Man, he made that look easy. I couldn't believe he took live questions from the ABC commentators. I would have told them to shut up!
I met Carla Wallenda at the Montmorency County Fair a couple of summers ago. She had been twirling high in the air off a tower at the show and came down to do autographs. She had a beautiful figure. When she came down from the tower, I was shocked to see she was like 70+ years old. My kids didn't have a clue about the Wallenda family so I then told them all about them. My brother-in-law watched the Wallendas at the State Fair Colliseum in Detroit when he was about 10. That was when the infamous Wallenda chair pyramid trick went seriously wrong, killing two and paralyzing a third. When by bro-in-law tells the story, you can tell it was really traumatic for him as a kid to witness at a circus.
It's nice that the Wallenda family is being shared with the next generation. Back to Nik Wallenda, that guy is one cool dude.
