Once upon a time, a Kid Rock show in Detroit was something all my people wanted to go to. It was the cool thing to do, the cool place to be, a good time for all. Now my mom wants to go, my aunt calls for tickets, and my teachers from High School frequent the shows. Once upon a time, he was a devil without a cause, now he is all religous during his shows, making me feel as if he is a zealot without a cause. The lyrics and content used to be on the edge, its what made him who he is, now its pathetic and same ole same ole. Why do I hold on?
Bob can not heal all the hurts of the world...I view it as detroiters are tough and they can take any amount of joking they knowwhat is real...most do and if others are fooled well dim wittted I can them.
Cops aren't my favorite people, but after 9-11, I am uncomfortable with songs saying we should hang 'em by their balls. Which of the NYPD should have died that way?!
I believe Detroit has tremendous opportunity to benefit from the history it represent of America especially the auto industry. I visited the heart of detroit briefly. Its beautiful and clean with interesting architectural work ( if only i could add pic). Who don't love an old Hot Rod! Historical
