I agree with Kid. To be a true musician/songwriter/entertainer one needs to hone his/her craft. It's like everything else in life: you learn from doing, practicing, refining, making adjustments, consuming all the information from mentors...Idol makes for tv entertainment. I have to give Carrie Underwood credit, she is very talented (a product of Idol) and is coming into her own as a songwriter. That takes true skill but I don't think many of the Idol contestants will be up for the task. Many want it ALL without putting in much effort nor understanding the great history of all types of music. They really do need to pay their dues. If they are as good as they think they are, they will make it in the industry on their own.

Wish I knew what U said about American Idol! I happen to like the show and think it gives people an Opportunity to be found that normally would have never had the chance! I know you made it Kid without that show and so did many other of my Fav Musicians, but America is forever Changing and I can Roll with this change! I enjoy watching it and love it when my Fav WINS! Just saying how I feel! I love you for you and how you make me feel when I listen to your Music. Have a great Sunday Kid. I am going to jump on my Harley and see if I can find my Red White and Blue Bandanna that flew off my head on Friday! Twas windy but oh what a ride! Love you from your "Little American Bad Ass"

Unbelievable ... Bobby are you still saying that American Idol is humiliating to the people who audition ??? That the show only shows the bad performers in the beginning... and its not worth them trying out to live a dream... ??? I can't believe you still speak of this at every concert I have seen you in and other functions.... Are you doing this to get a rise out of the American Idol comity so they mention you... ??? What if they wanted to use you for a mentor on one of their shows... but you put it down so much you will never be asked .... Everyone knows how hard you pushed and worked bloody tears to get where you are... and did it without the help of a show like that but who knows if it were around when you were 16 if you would have auditioned.... The kids that are picked would probably be so honored if you would take one night to mentor them... and give them a little of your secret of being Real in your performances... Show them how to feel what they do and do what they feel ... I am just saying... I am one of your groupiest groppies I can't say or see anything wrong by you... I am just saying.... thats all...
