    The 2011 MTV Musical March Madness tournament is now underway! MTV News took the 64 biggest names in rock, split them up into four regions, assigned them seeds and puts them up against one another in a single-elimination series of match-ups in a winner-take-all contest.

    Fan voting will determine who will emerge as this year's champion. It's all about the fans, and the artist with the most passionate fan base will score the awesome Musical March Madness trophy!

    In this weeks bracket, MTV has matched-up Kid Rock vs Adele. Be sure to cast your vote at NewsRoom.MTV.com to help Kid Rock advance to the next round!

    First round voting continues through Sunday night on March 20th.

Just voted for Kid but I dont think this is a fair competition. I'm part of the MTV generation and like many of the hard rocking people my age, they have not watched MTV for years it's a joke now. Reality shows and pop music most of the time and appeals to a much younger crowd. It was great when it started and for some years after but now it's not really even music television. They used to cover everything from AC/DC,RUSH,IRON MAIDEN,&Van HALEN to RUN DMC,MADONNA,JOHN MELLENCAMP,TOM PETTY,POLICE,&MICHAEL JACKSON. And a ton of other wierd shit. I'm sure Kid has a lot of young fans but he really speaks to me and I'm (42). I just can't figure out the Beiber crowd (no offense to his talent). Either way good luck Kid.

I voted for KID ROCK.. and tried to vote again and again.. it wont let me,. it only lets you vote ONCE grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..... spread the word and have the votes go to KID ROCK as he deserves them ;)
