Thank you. They're so young. I really don't think about it. Saw one of your You Tube videos of a trip you took to entertain the troops, and some of those soldiers looked so young. Must be a real treat for them when you show up. I'm pretty selfish & self centered. I will take the time to write down their names and ages and simply say thank you in a gratitude prayer.

God bless our troops, and God bless you for always keeping them first.

So very true! I have reposted and posted the CNN story as well.

Whenever we see a soldier in public we always say thank you and you always see the appreciation in their eyes and/or their smiles. Our media needs to focus on the good and not the Hollywood crap ~ they don't deserve the air time. Our soldiers.......they deserve everything. God Bless America!

I dont know about other places but in Oklahoma City at noon EVERY saturday the tornado sirens blow for a good minunte. Maybe our country can come up with an ideal to create a continued concsious awearness of the dutys nessaseary to maintain all this meaningless BS

We need to thank our soliders every time we see one. You see them in airports in between flights, at a convenience store getting gas, or anywhere.Tell them " thank you so much for keeping us safe...God bless you" . Just speak up and recognize . They appreciate it...and they say"thanks " .

Dear Bob, Thank you for this post (not a facebook girl and hadn't seen the news this evening). I've passed it on and hope that all of the families of the fallen and injured can take some small bit of comfort that there is population that is grateful for and honors and weeps for their brothers, husbands, fathers, sisters, mothers... On a somewhat lighter note, FRABJOUS interview with Piers! Was so pleased it was finally aired (understand getting bumped for Egypt and Libya....but not with (again) the spectacle of Charlie Sheen). Anyway, after almost knocking over my glass while laughing during the intro w/ "Who the F is Piers Morgan?".....I was then (literally) clapping when you said, " Don't want a bunch of Bible thumpers running the country and don't want a bunch of pot smoking hippies running it either.. "..Not to be a sycophant, but BRILLIANT....being able to boil down this issue into this blunt, picturesqu statement was perfect..! (and also love how you have highlighted the distaste for the rage & bluster that gets all the press in "Care" ) Thank you. (And its unbelievable when y'all do it at your show) Last, disappointed as won't be in 5th row in Memphis as planned as my Dad is now in the hospital w/ congestive heart failure... :(....definitely can't leave him, but was so excited for show (and to see/experience and eat in Memphis) and still have a b'day present haven't been able to get to you in Detroit or Birmingham...(its a book, nothing big, but think this story would mean a lot to you)...Anyhoo, I'll look forward to picking another great town to visit and see you rock out! Thanks again for the post. Have a great show and God Bless. xoxox
