It's a shame that we as a nation care more about celebrities problems than we do about the men and women who put their life on the line for our freedom everyday.......but we have the media to blame for that and the people who subscribe to it.....i come from a military family and god bless them all....i am grateful for their service and broken hearted for the losses!!!!!

So true! God bless the warrior soldier who puts thier lives on the line each and every day for this country and prayers to the families of the fallen soldiers. May they fly on the wings of the angels. They may be gone but certainly not forgotten. And thanks goes out to you Kid, for reminding those who may have forgotten about the real stories that actually mean something. Your a good man!

Yeap, that's how it is though. There is so much going on out there in the world, in our every day lives, and all you hear about is the things that make big headlines, what are the stars doing this week...blah blah blah. Enough, who cares, their fucked up just as much as everyone else in the world. All you hear is how this one did this and that one snorted that, okay, what about the good things that are going on. Thank you to everyone for all that you do, because we all, in some way, contribute to another. God bless america, i'm just trying to live that "American Dream" I got enough of my own problems, and gotta say I love digging in the dirt while listening to your music. So thank you for making my days off that more enjoyable. Keep on keepin on... g

I served this great country from 1992 to 1996 in the us navy . ive seen alot, learned alot, some good ,some bad. the military gave me the diginity to hold my head high , to respect my fellow man, to LOVE MY COUNTRY!!! ive never seen combat, and i dont call myself a vetern because i didnt earn it !! my uncle did who was shot in korea, or a brother that was killed in WW1 ,or a father who is M.I.A still from vietnam or the 11 marines killed in iraq or afganistan this past week. the bible says no greater love have a man than to lay down his life for his brother, well guess what ? they gave the greatest love possible only to come home in body bags to protesting non americans who take advantage of everything that the goverment lays at there feet !!! kid i was at your concert in nashville in feburary and im gonna say i was only really there to see jamey johnson, but im throughly impressed by your love of this country, ur humbleness, and your drive to make true americans like me very proud. thank you for loving our country and supporting our military. forever will i be a kid rock fan and god bless our BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE UNITED STATES MILITARY who serve overseas putting there lives at risk to save ours !!!!!!

Wow unbelievable your absolutely right. People are out praising that crazy Charlie Sheen (I will admit I am a fan of his acting) not realizing that he is in denial and his mind is way gone from all those hard drugs poor thing! And that nutty Lindsey another lost soul! AND all these young young service man have lost there lifes to defend our freedom! It just goes to show that this Countries TV is all about which Millionaire Movie Star got busted for druggin or boozin or sleeping with whoever!!!! Your song AMEN says it all in regards to this crap! I would much rather watch a Memorial to each Man or Woman that gave their LIFE for our Freedom. As always we think alike and our hearts are in the right place! Ms. Laura, your note says a lot. You said (paraphrase) that when you thank these men and women for their service and tell them to come home safe, they tell you "thank you". When I thank them for serving our country they tell me, almost always "I'm just doing my job"...how humble...hardly just a job that they get paid to do, ...so much more. It blows me away. May God Bless them today and always...

who cares about charlie and lindsay, i don't. my heart goes to the families of those soldiers. if it wasn't for our brave military where would this country be? And why is it that atheletes make millions while our military makes next to nothing!!! Love you Kid!!!!

Amazing isn't it! My thoughts and Prayer go out to the Marines families and friends. We were just talking about this the other day at work. There is a little 6 year old that I know who is fighting for her life along with her family, friends and strangers in our community. She has GANS ( Giant Axonal Neuropathy). Her name is Hannah Sames, she lives in Clifton Park NY. (www.hannahshopefund.org) This horriable disease is a genetic disorder that slowly takes away one's ability to walk, use one's hands, speak, swallow and is terminal. Over the last 3 years I have watched Hannah increasingly loose her balance,falling frequently. Last year at Hannah's Run for life, she was in a wheelchair for most of the race, in a fear of falling. By the time this little girl is 10 years old, she will be on a ventilator and wheelchair bound. She is a loving caring little girl that fights for her life every min of the day. Charlie Sheenan and Lindsy Lohan get so much attention and we are unable to get anything but local coverage. This is fine for some things, but Hannah is fighting for her life. The family has tried the Today show, Oprah, etc. But no response. Ok, I think I vented enough.. Thanks for anyone listening. I had a shitty day at work and better stop while I am ahead. I bet my husband is glad he is at work right now. God Bless all the Soliders that have lost their lives and injured over the years fighting for our Country...
