Superstar Kid Rock Announces Extensive Canadian Tour

    March 09, 2011

Top Dog / Atlantic Records artist KID ROCK is set to come to Canada with his hard rocking Twisted Brown Trucker Band for an extensive tour in support of his gold album, Born Free. The Canadian tour, which begins May 17th at Vancouver’s Rogers arena, comes hot on the heels of the Detroit rockers SRO tour of the U.S.

The past few months since Born Free’s release in November 2010 have been incredibly hectic for Kid Rock. He initially introduced the album to the world with a series of incendiary television appearances at the European Music awards, the Country Music Association awards and the American Music Awards. He then kicked off his North American tour by throwing a 40th birthday party for himself at Detroit’s Ford Field for 60,000 of his closest friends.

Born Free is a watershed recording for Kid Rock. The album is his ninth and marks a stylistic shift from the overt bravado of the self-professed American Badass to more mature songwriting that showcases many more of Rock’s talents as both a writer and a singer. The album, produced by Rick Rubin, features appearances by Martina McBride, T.I., Bob Segar, Trace Adkins, Zac Brown and Sheryl Crow.

Kid Rock has proven that there are no boundaries to his music. Over the course of his career he has conquered the musical world like no other artist topping the charts in genres as far flung as hip hop, rock, pop and country. His live shows have become legendary and the Born Free tour promises more of what fans have come to expect and respect of Kid Rock.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, March 12, 2011 for Kid Rock’s Born Free Canadian tour:

05/17 Rogers Arena - Vancouver, BC
05/18 Prospera Place - Kelowna, BC
05/20 Scotiabank Saddledome - Calgary, AB
05/21 Rexall Place - Edmonton, AB
05/23 Brandt Centre - Regina, SK
05/24 MTS Centre - Winnipeg, MB
05/27 Air Canada Centre - Toronto, ON
05/28 John Labatt Centre - London, ON

I took my daughter to see him for her 16th birthday and then again for her 21st. He was in Saginaw, Michigan, both times.. His concert defiantly shows his talent as a singer, musician and song writer... If you read this Bobby, We would love to meet you and hang out. We tried at the concert to get a meet and greet, but NO one was able to tell us how to go about getting backstage tickets (all access pass). I can be reached d.scheurs@yahoo.com. Find me on facebook. I know it is a long shot but we through a luau every summer..we love for you to stop in, but you have to have a classic car or Harley..Funny thing my daughter's birthday is January 22nd. Enjoy your tour in Canada and maybe we will see you in the summer.

Someone should point out that Canada doesn't end in Montreal...We've got four more provinces east of Quebec that could use a show or two...

Glad your coming to Ottawa Canada, unfortunatly its at the Scotiabank centre.Bluesfest outdoor festival was a great show, here a few years ago.Your the only show I said I'd go see there, the other 30 plus have been a disappointment. The Scotiabank is as brutal as our Ottawa Senators lol..Cheers looking foward to the show......
