This was sent to me by my Mom this morning, Thought it was pretty cool and wanted to share.

    Hi Bob,
Been thinking a lot about you out on the road in this unbelievable weather. Cudos to you for your response to those whinning about not being able to make it.You wouldn't have won if you cancelled. I remembered this morning while I was excercising and listening to Mr. Cash on my Ipod about the time Dad and I went to see George Jones and Tammy Wynette at Meadowbrook. It was late Sept. and in the 20s. We went in our hats, gloves and warm coats. The warm up act played, then Tammy and then the warm up act again. About 10pm people started to leave and as they did we kept moving up closer-never even thinking about going home (although we probably should have, because who knows what was going on there.) No show Jones finally came on about 11pm and by then we were about 3 rows back and saw one hell of a show. We went home raving about the show and always had something to talk about when George Jones was in the news. We still are fans to this day. At least he showed up-probably drunk and all. And as far as refunding the money-that's over and above the call of duty, but that shows your character and that is something I'm so proud of. Looking forward to seeing you In March.

    Love, Mom

....... And George played until 1am and Meadowbrook shut the lights down!!!!

So Sweet of your Mom! Coincidentally, I met a friend of mine for lunch last week to catch up. I told her that I went to the Sag. show, and she turns to me and says, "You know I know him". WHAAAT?! Turns out she is originally from R-O, and grew up in your neighborhood! She said all the kids always came out and played together when they were young. She had 8 bros and sisters, was in your bro's class, remembers you as a cute altar boy! Your Mom was her Rel. Ed. teacher!! She said your parents and her parents still keep in touch, they live in TC now. I'm sure you hear stories like this all of the time. From one Rel. Ed. teacher to another, YOU GO, MOM!! (And KR!!!) Have fun in KY. :)

I liked what you said to the whining fans and loved what your mother wrote to you. I got my tickets today to see you in May in Thackerville, Oklahoma. I'm so excited and can't wait to see you!

Your mom rocks! Any TRUE FAN of yours knows your real motivation is NEVER GREED and is ALWAYS to give 100% and put on a hell of a show, rain, shine or BLIZZARD! Sending love and support from Detroit, you always make us proud! ?

Now I know where you get your character from, sounds like you have an amazing mother that raised an amazing son.I respect the hell out of you and what you have done with your son. I love that Born Free mini documentary..I have watched it over and over. I think your son is adorable,I love how you call him Junior and respect the fact that you parent him instead of friending him. Anyone out there that hasn't seen it should look it up ,because on that show and the interview on Fuse Tv Bob always says."I have never taken an unhonest dollar off of a hard working mans back".That is why your true fans love and respect you.Keep doing what you are doing and I can't wait to see you in Chicago. If I have to walk there I wouldn't miss it!!!!

Yep...we Moms can be very cool...especially when it comes to supporting our kiddos! I applaud yours and can't wait to see you at the show tonight in Lousville. Sing "Cowboy" to section 117...that's where I'll be! :-)

Sounds like your mother has done her job well with you, and continues to love and support you. In addition, it's obvious from her letter that she respects and admires her son. So do I. Our beloved aunt gracefully surrendered to her cancer last week. Your song "When It Rains" allowed me to find peace, and reminds me that others know what it means to lose someone so loved. Thank you for that. There is so much love and wisdom in that album. It was released at a serendipitous time for me, and those songs will forever be in my heart. Here's to hoping I can afford tickets next time you are in the Pacific Northwest. Safe travels in life, and God bless.....

Even if I dont, I know the show is going to be GREAT.....Be SAFE out there

Great letter! Just saw you in Saginaw a couple of weeks ago - I took my 3 daughters (ages 20, 19 and 18 - poor hubby had to miss out this time). We had the BEST time. People of ALL ages LOVE you! Can't wait to see you again - even if I had to brave a blizzard!! And hats off to you for refunding your fans - even though it wasn't your obligation. Just shows your character!

Your mom is awesome, now we know were you get it from.I have to agree with your mom refunding thier money that does go above the call of duty, but thats just who you are and what kind of person you are.Anyway,if they were true fans, they wouldnt pull some bullshit like these people did.I would of went to the show rain, snow or shine.Have a great night.

A true artist will perform rain, sun or shine. You have, and always will be the epitome of just that since day one. Which brings me to my point that, a true artist deserves true fans, fans who are willing to conquer the elements to be in the presence of such a phenomenal man, such as yourself. That being said, anyone who was not thankful for the mere opportunity, regardless of the conditions, to have the privilege of attending an unforgettable performance by an even more unforgettable performer, does not fall under the category of a "die-hard-fan" and obviously is not deserving of standing witness to your superb talents. Detroit loves you and so do I. Thank you for sharing your music with us and never forgetting "us little people". And, to Mama Rock, thank you for blessing us with such a beautiful man, as I am sure you are as well. After all, it's like they say, "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree."

Your mom is great! We had something like that happen when seeing Uncle Kracker this summer! His flight was cancelled, and he drove out to Rockton, Illinois, for our show arriving about two hours late. A lot of people left, but we hung in there, and he ROCKED! Thanks for doing what you do - we love you!

I just returned from the Super Bowl.. thought I might have to eat $15,000.00 in Texas, plus travel and party tix if I did, I wouldn't have blamed Jerry Jones ( though I was sitting right below him). Weather happens... even in Texas.. It's what turns the day into a story...moments into memories. .. sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry.. but we always have the memories.. Hats off to you for opening your wallet up. You are always about making it right... even when it's not your fault. It's not good business: it's GREAT BUSINESS.

Thanks so much for sharing! It just really helps to see you are human too! I love you and your Momma!! I could hear the love and comfort in her voice and it brought tears to my eyes! I agree with another poster..my getting to your concert in Wichita KS will be a story i will be able to tell. I made the decision to still travel 4.5 hrs in wind chill 30 below and not knowing what i was gonna run into with the weather / roads and the fact that my friend changed her mind about going..I was going to have to go alone. When I got there and got all settled in my seat I text my husband " I am so proud of myself for being able to come alone and to venture out and at least see what the roads/weather was really like. It was a very self esteem/ego boosting experience AND AGAIN.. I get to say I saw KID ROCK!!!! and it was AMAZING!! Thank you so much!

You are definitely worth traveling through any storm to see..their loss. If anyone has to question your commitment to your fans, they don't know anything about you. Good luck with the rest of the tour and hope to see you again back home, maybe at DTE????
