    Momma Rock Responds!

This was sent to me by my Mom this morning, Thought it was pretty cool and wanted to share.

    Hi Bob,
Been thinking a lot about you out on the road in this unbelievable weather. Cudos to you for your response to those whinning about not being able to make it.You wouldn't have won if you cancelled. I remembered this morning while I was excercising and listening to Mr. Cash on my Ipod about the time Dad and I went to see George Jones and Tammy Wynette at Meadowbrook. It was late Sept. and in the 20s. We went in our hats, gloves and warm coats. The warm up act played, then Tammy and then the warm up act again. About 10pm people started to leave and as they did we kept moving up closer-never even thinking about going home (although we probably should have, because who knows what was going on there.) No show Jones finally came on about 11pm and by then we were about 3 rows back and saw one hell of a show. We went home raving about the show and always had something to talk about when George Jones was in the news. We still are fans to this day. At least he showed up-probably drunk and all. And as far as refunding the money-that's over and above the call of duty, but that shows your character and that is something I'm so proud of. Looking forward to seeing you In March.

    Love, Mom

....... And George played until 1am and Meadowbrook shut the lights down!!!!

Its no wonder you are such a down to earth person with a mother like that..She raised you right obviously and made you the person you are today. How many rock stars would even offer to pay out of their own pocket for something beyond their control? Not very many. Some of them dont care even if it is their fault. I also wanted to say that I saw you in concert in Toronto in 2009 and you were awesome..alot of people don't realize how very talented you are but I have to say you were one of if not THE best people I have ever seen in concert. Radio and computers don't do you justice..Much Much better in person..I would definitely go see you again anyday and I listen to you all the time and I also have your new cd as well as many of your songs on my mp3 player..love you.. Keep Rockin!!! xox

I love how she's called Mama Rock! And love how she tells you when she's proud of you. More moms need to do that. More kids need to believe that when they hear it. Can't wait to see your show. Be safe.

Giving a refund really was more than you had to do. But I promise all of us who wanted to go but couldnt have a ton of respect for you and we are very thankfull for what you did. I dont care if I have to walk 100 miles I will never miss u at LR again.

We are coming to see you at JazzFest. If something happens with our flight, I will happily ride my bicycle from Detroit to NOLA. Can't wait!

Your mom's sweet letter shows where you got a great deal of your character and integrity. Bob, you'll never make everyone happy. There's always "damned if I do, damned if I don't" scenarios...so, keep listening to your heart (and your mom) and you won't go wrong. We'll see you in GSO, NC in about a week...our 4th time seeing you and we're really thrilled! Blessings to you and your fam and crew for all you do, all the shit you go through!

Your mom is a smart lady. I know it is not easy for her to hear the crap people say. One this is for sure she would kick some ass if she needed too. Don's mess with Momma Rock. LOL

It's wonderful to know that your mom will always be there. Mine has been my rock for the last couple of weeks because of a painful break up. But your show tonight at the YUM center is just what the doctor ordered. I am so excited to see you for the first time.

That is so awesome that your mom wrote you that. I believe the refund out of your pocket is beyond your call of duty, but now I know your character even better. Your an amazing person. Be safe out there on the road. I want to see another one of your concerts sometime. I live in Toledo and seen you Jan. 26th. It was amazing. love love love you!!

What a great show that must've been. My dad was probably there with 'em back in the day when people could party all night without standing in line to pay $12 a beer or have security digging through your purse. No complaints; outdoor shows are still the best; but you gotta think how great it was when life was a little simpler and the rules weren't set to accomodate those who don't know how to handle a little buzz and some great jams. Nice memory.

God Bless You, Bobby! And your family. You are always an inspiration! I will never find the words to express what you mean to me. Your music, your views and your honesty. When you speak, millions listen and you have used that awesome responsibility for the good. My prayers are with you and your crew for safety and blessings while you sacrifice time with your family to come be with us! PEACE!

Your mom is the best! And, she is right, refunding the money is above and beyond. Other people made it there. You have no control over mother nature. :)

That is what Momma's are for. My mother is the best and I wouldn't trade her in for nothing. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend!

That was really neat to read what your mom wrote. It's funny cause the other day when I was reading the posts from people about you showing up I thought "good thing they are not going to see George Jones cause he doesn't show up for his own concerts most of the time". My son (he is 17) and I saw you in Bossier City, LA and your were AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just love watching you perform. I never realized you have so much talent. What I would give to have your talent or you. Anyway, I want to see you in New Orleans for the Jazz Fest (which is also my birthday) but I don't know if I'll have the money or not. My son is a senior this year and it is killing me. I know it has to be hard for you to be away from your son so when you are home spend as much time with him as you can. These teenage years go by fast. Can't wait to see you again....

Had a blast at your show! You and Jamey were awesome in Shreveport! Definitely going to come see you again at the Houston Rodeo! Keep Rockin'!

Mothers are always right and Momma Rock is no exception. So true, it is unusual for an artist to offer a refund in the same situation, and it does show his character that he's willing to do so. He has no control over weather. I have attended many different concerts by many different artists, and Kid Rock is the only performer that without fail at every concert I have seen, thanks his fans for spending their hard-earned money to come out and see his show. And has sincerely meant that thank you. If you want another great example of how he appreciates and thanks his fans, take his cruise with him. You won't be disappointed.
