Reminds me of Rock N Roll Pain Train
    rocksavedmysoul says (19 Mar '13)

"...15 years on this lonely road
I paid my own way, I carried my own load
I never ask too much from no one,
    I was much too proud
All I ever wanted was to play my music
    for a sold out crowd..."

I received a letter in the mail from the university where my son will attend in the fall. The letter began, "All those early mornings, late nights, and long years of hard work have paid off..."

Kid's lyrics immediately came to mind.

Although the two goals are a bit different, they are in fact aims set by each and attained. So proud of my son. And so proud of Kid-he played with his idol, Bob Seger, this week. Goals achieved!

God is Good.
Goals are Good.
Goals are achieved through hard work, determination, self-denial, effort, and perseverance--qualities that seem in short supply today for some reason. So I say 'thank you' to you, Laurie, for teaching your son how to believe and achieve.
