“Takers not Givers”
This song’s about
How some people differ
About takers not givers
About how some are driven
The way that they act
The way that their livin
This song’s about
Takers not givers
I know a lot of kind souls
That give what they can
Usually 10 percent,
To the church they attend
They really can’t afford it but
It’s important to them
To support the temple
Of the creator of man
If you’re a taker not giver
You’ll have to answer
When you’re delivered
You’ll have no answer
You’ll just stand their and shiver
Stand their and wonder
Why was I a taker
Not a giver
What can I do
Just one more chance
Heard ole Kid Rock say
You get what you put in
He must have been talking
About the next life we walk in
The most generous I know
Are those with incomes so low
Living in shacks, borrow money for gas
Wouldn’t hesitate to give you
The shirt off their back
I know some takers
Wouldn’t give you the time
Take and they take
Can’t spare a dime
Wouldn’t give you jack
Maid quarters out back
In their account, have money in stacks
They are the owners
Of these poor people’s shacks
Wouldn’t hesitate to take
The shirt off your back
Can hardly wait
Until payback

You can feed a man fish for dinner and he won't be hungry that day but teach him to fish and he will never be hungry. BB you reminded me of that. We shouldnt always look for the payback but the joy of being there and justing doing something for someone else because when you look for the payback you may be very disappointed as most of the time it is not there and it means your doing it for the wrong reason. We don't feed a man to say look at what I did, we feed him because he is hungry and we are caring human beings. Not to say look what I did!

Love it. It reminds me of my song, I'd rather be barefoot and poor. True be that, so true. In most cases anyway. There are those who worked their asses off to get to where they are and who know what it's like to struggle and take that money and time and heart and soul to give. Don't forget one thing that's right, it's never all black, it's never all white. Sometimes in the middle it's gray and that is where I like to stay. Just to be safe. Teetering on the ledge on each, it's in the middle I teach. His color may be red and hers blue but staying in the middle is sometimes the best thing to do.
eww anit that a fact
eww anit that a fact
but
they anit lookin for no payback
thire happy were thire at
that is
both
your givers and your takers
remindeds me of they story of the widow who gave but a nickel and was laughd at and Jesus said she gave the most for that was all she had.
