We were sitting on our deck one day eating lunch when a turkey walked through our neighbor's yard. When he realized we were there, he ducked behind some rocks to hide even though his whole body was sticking out. My husband yelled "gobble, gobble" and his head poked up over the rock and then ducked back down when he saw us move. This went on for about 15 minutes. We laughed and laughed playing with that turkey. That's our happy turkey memory... Congratulations on yours!!!

What a fantastic morning out in the fresh air hunting, presumably with your good friend, Mr. Williams, getting a congrats kick ass beautiful turkey, and then rockin' n rollin' with your good friend, Mr. Seger, tonight!?! Out at my aunts cabin they get caught in the traps for the bob cats and ferrel hogs but they beat themselves up trying to get out and the meat is messed up. They just let them go but they will shoot one out wondering, that and dear. They had to build a stand in the middle of each of the 5 stock tanks because the bobcats were eating the ducks. They have one stuffed bobcat that sits by the fireplace and then their pet cat is half bob half Manx . Needless to say I don't play much w Frisco, ouch, that damn thing is rough when he wants to play. Biggest house cat I've ever seen. He got bit in the eye by a rattlesnake because there are a lot of those out there and he survived. He doesn't go near snakes any more but will damn sure point em out like a dog.

wow now that was a good choice and a good move so glad your enjoying it...the collectors warehouse has glass domes to display some of the feathers for a display would look spanky for your desk...its really easy if unsure call Martha Stewart ..she will help ya out with that... :) remember to get ALL the Buckshot out of it if UNSURE..thats a good USE for a metal detector...A east siders Remedy...otherwise the meat will taste like iron. what am I saying youv'e been with hank...I hope he told ya what to say if you come across a still and someone catches ya..its..."what still" ? Have fun Im battling a sinus infection 1st day I lead such a glamourous life here...but I look like HELL...

I killed a turkey once with a 9 1/4 inch beard....many years ago in the Carolinas. I don't hunt anymore. My son does though. He loves it. I'm always telling him he should just go hunting with a camera. :) I get it though, but man its hard looking at all those beautiful deer and stuff. I just can't do it. I was alot younger then, and though I'm still a country girl, and I love that type of living, I'm more apt to buy a big piece of land and plant a crop for them to feed on and feel free nowadays. I'm really happy for you though, and I feel your excitement. I'm not trying to sound like I'm raining on your day. I'm happy for you. :)
