Get rid of this ridiculous paperless ticketing. It is killing this tour. I've seen show after show that hasn't sold out and it's all because of this stupid paperless ticketing provision. People do not like this paperless crap.

I had no problem with the paperless ticketing. Like previous posters said, the paperless tickets (for Kid Rock's show) are the premium seats and all others are hard tickets. Personally, I don't depend on someone else to get tickets... if I get them myself, then I only have myself to blame if I can't get in.

I have had no problems with paperless tickets. Just show my ID and credit card and get the "tickets" to get in. . Toledo, OH is sold out. It might say "buy tickets" next to the show, but when you click on it, there are no seats available. I don't see a problem with this sale method and any way to cut down on scalping is a good thing!

knowing scalpers they will stick around perv it out until they realise its a useless venture to benefit off somebody elses work I think Kid and Tbt will like it real fans not empty seats..hopefully it will put forth advertisement 3 weeks before a show or something of that nature.

I am curious how long the scalpers can be stalled out before they fold? Will be interesting to see. I noticed We're All For the Hall the good tickets are paperless too. If this continues scalpers will be starved out! I like it. REAL FANS will get the good seats and for the agree upon ticket price instead of being robbed by SCALPERS!

I saw him in Malibu and it was also paperless. Had no problem just showed ID and was let in. I do understand wanting to keep a ticket as a keepsake but this way is preventing scalping and allowing more of us fans to see the concert.

So, because you weren't able to make a different concert, it is "killing this tour"? What?

I love it. I got the best seats I have ever had for KR (I've been to at least 30 KR shows) and they went to a true fan - me! All the scalpers went to other tours to make their money. Also, it's only the up close seats that are paperless - 80% of the arena is available without it being paperless. So, if you aren't 100% sure the cardlholder can make it - buy the hard ticket option.

Get your facts straight. If you knew anything about KR, he has been trying to do something about scalpers for years and this seems to be the most fair way he can do it. Also, almost all of his shows have been sell-outs so far. If it didn't sell out, it was the nosebleed seats that were left - which would be hard tickets, not paperless. Again, get your facts straight.

Rock on and I'll tell Kid how much I love the new paperless system, if I see him on the boat!

I could buy all the paperless tickets I wanted for this tour. I checked all the shows and not a single show with paperless tickets had sold out of their paperless "allotment". That's a fail in my book.

Check Grand Rapids, MI - There are only 5 seats available in a 12,000 seat arena. All single tickets, no pairs. All hard tickets are left, no paperless. Again, get your facts straight.

Tonight's concert in Memphis, TN - only upper level seats are available - these would be hard tickets, not paperless. Again, get your facts straight.

What a fail is in my book is that you state this is "killing this tour". It's been very successful so far. I don't think coming close to selling out arenas night after night is a fail - especially when he hasn't had a "hit" in 2 albums. (All Summer Long)

Honestly, I think Kid would rather have a "near" sell out and not have all of the scalpers involved in his concerts. He has been trying to wage war with scalpers for years and he is going to do what he can to eliminate them from his shows and have great seats available for his fans.

Toledo show is sold out, that's the one I'm going to...it's paperless :/
If there was only hard tickets sold it would be easier for scalpers to buy them up, then it would be a sold out show, that doesn't make sense lol Being paperless means more fans have a chance at tickets, I believe. It's just gonna take people a while getting used to the new rules & ways of going to a show now.

I like paperless because it screws the scalpers. The only problem I ever had was my girlfriend in Raleigh couldn't get tix to her show and I could (I'm in MI) . I ended up getting them for her and going down to the concert. It all actually worked out. I managed to get a cheap flight, stayed with her, and had a great trip. I do miss having a ticket as a keepsake though. I'm old school that way but nothing ever seems to stay the same in any aspect of life I guess. Sorry "J" you couldn't go and are disappointed. That sucks.

The paperless system sucks. It wasn't at a KR concert, but another. Friend had tickets for a concert and ended up not being able to make it. The other 3 including me got left out in the cold because the only person that was able to get us in the show was the friend who had to bail at the last minute. Needless to say, 4 tickets went to total waste because there was nothing anyone could do. They wouldn't allow any type of transfer. The paperless systems sucks huge donkey nads.

ajay's picture

Dunno if it is possible but couldn't you just have used the credit card the friend used to buy the tickets? I don't even recall that they looked @ my id. Perhaps i am not remembering right...but i really don' recall them even looking @ my id. They just took the credit card and swiped it. Then my ticket stub printed out. If not i do recall that someone here stated that they called about the paperless system and did get them transferred.

jbrechtel's picture

That might have been possible, but they insisted that the actual ticket purchaser, the one with the credit card, would have to be present and we would all have to enter together. Seeing as the person with the credit card was not going to physically be there, it would have been impossible. They could have easily made a switch at will call or allowed him to transfer the tickets to one of the other guys, but that's not allowed with paperless tickets. That's why they suck.

Really? I liked it. Had no problem in Nashville, TN @ Bridgestone Arena. As a fan i got no problem with paperless tickets. You give them your credit card and have an id ready. They swipe it, a small ticket stub prints out and you are good to go.

I do like to keep tickets as keepsakes, but for now i can deal with just the little stub. Wish it was better printed up though like tickets are. But it is part of the sacrifice. IF IT ENDS SCALPING I WOULD DO IT EVERY F'KING TIME!
