I am happy that I was graced with this tid bit. It is nice to know that there is somebody out there that is actually looking for solutions. Children again are just so much fun, they are sponges. If you teach them they will learn become very smart leading to becoming a good citizen. I think that is what every mother wants for their children. Well, I would hope. Thats why reading is very important. A second language as well.
Knowledge is key. You must supply one with the resources they will need in order to survive when the help is not around. Where ever they are.

Been laughing over saying the subject of government hurts, because of Jesus . But to say they gave me a story that no one will believe isn't quite a fact because people sing about it, and it is in people's faces .
The look on his face the majority of the time spoke volumes! He looked pissed most of the time. It was probably the first time in a long time he had to sit and listen to another point of view. Some gave Dr. Carson crap afterwards regarding the "appropriateness" of his speech; they obviously did not listen to the beginning about PC:)
The "dumbing down" of our Country has been taking place for decades, hello public school system and welcome to the Democrate party. As far as the race and education opportunities; this really bugs me. I'm a white woman that went to majority black high school from 1980 - 1985. I was pushed into "college prep" courses in my senior year; funny how these classes did not cost more yet were all white and Asian students (did I mention the school was majority black). Taking these courses did not guarantee me a free ride to college, especially because I was white. My parents didn't have money nor did I have GPA to get into college, so I immediatly enrolled in Community College and continued my education, for an embarassing amount of years, as I could pay. Eventually I got my B.S. which ultimately led me to my current career which I love! I'm still paying the student loan of $186.36 (min/mo) because I was a white chick with non superior GPA's and parents that couldn't pay for my college. I'm ok with paying back my student loan and know I can and should. I'm also ok with helping other people out that need it, but it really pisses me off when people are given opportunities then piss them away. And, the J. Jackson's and Al Sharpton's that continue to perpetuate this victim mentality make me sick! Dr. Carson for President!
I think this is the guy Cuba Gooding jr played in a movie about a neurosurgeon that separated conjoined twins at the skull. He was successful in the very complicated never before done surgery, lasted something like 23 hours. Anyway I'm with you Ritchie, he should run for office soon so he can run for president ASAP.

I felt I was the only person here giving you shit about collaborating with the liberal Sean Penn on that "American" video. I get that you may have to straddle the fence in your position, but I really hope you lean towards a common sense approach as Dr.Carson asserts. I think this man has great potential and deserves some serious consideration in the political arena! God knows we need to change that arena!!

This guy is a great man. Loved all that he said. The fact that we are ostracized when we speak(or as he said, now scared to speak) is so true. I am so against some of the things going on in our government & I respectfully put it out there to people (so they are aware) and I get shot down like I am ...well predudice! I am far from that. I would just call myself educated. And education is exactly what our country needs. Better education on how this country was founded and honoring those that deserve it, such as our military! He just gets it...from Merry Christmas to tax contributions to Politcal Lawyers (Both President and Mrs Obama were disbarred as Lawyers) to One Nation under God. I PRAY this brilliant man runs for President one day.Thank you so much for sharing this. I actually have faith again that our country will survive and in another 4 years we can elect a realist like him into office. P.S. Amen! Amazing speech and I couldnt have said it better myself and I have said it before. Education changes life's , it puts food on the table, it avoids war, it creates industry, it creates cohesion of the masses for a common cause, it decreases hate and increases understanding, it stimulates the economy, and it empowers people to make change. Applaud, applaud, applaud, standing ovation!
I hope Dr. Carson runs for office someday too. He "hit the nail on head" in so many different ways---number one being---OPEN and HONEST COMMUNICATION :-)
People play way too many head-games and that's where 99% of problems start.
It's so simple--act like little kids in Kindergarten do---they say exactly what they feel---and don't care what color, creed, or anything else different about another little kid. They see someone to play with.
The negative stuff--like hatred, racism, greed, etc--that sometimes comes later on--is taught.
But so are the positive traits like kindness, caring, loving, nurturing, etc. ~Souls have---those are ALSO taught. :-)

He seems like a good and wise man . The subject of government is painful, watched a movie the other night and they said in it, don't worry we have left her with a story no one will believe, made me think of a church, some bands and spies .
Don't worry about me ~ I speak when it really matters..I dont like people that burrade others in a mean spirit..I tend to just get away from that cause that stuff sticks to ya and involves everything ya do. and as you mature you also will get this little gem . YOU tolerate what ya WANT to tolerate the rest a fast and speedy exit. I personally think the PC comments to a beautiful woman she had to be helped , may have solidifyed her mind to end it I went to Mindy McCreadys website after hearing her boyfriend was died about a month ago and people that didnt even know her and probally would of never known her had the most viscoius remarks . it was no compassion , nothing for someone to cling to for strength... Yeah I chimed in and asked her to reach out to someone ANYONE. life is so very fragile, were here and gone at the blink of a eye. Thats why I say... Yets be family here. Regardless of who you voted for WTF..this is where some of us are coming from..at least here in MI-speaking from my own experiences-
We entered this recession/depression before the rest of the country. We are still in the worst of it. In the past week, I saw my favorite bakery (voted Best of the Best 5 years in a row) close. My dear neighbor, with tears in her voice, called me to tell me that her family was moving to Oregon, because her husband's job at Dow was unstable (Dow just revealed more job cuts here.)For every hard-working step Saginaw Future does to bring jobs to the area, more leave. There are hard-working, intelligent people in Detroit, also, working their asses off to try to save that city--where is our help, where is our salvation. So excuse us if we see the Leader of our Country's lips moving, and think it is a lie.
Granted, I was out at the East coast this fall, and actually saw signs of recovery (construction!!! OMG!!!When's the last time I saw that in MI? A LOOONG time.) But we need a little somethin' somethin' here. And it better be in the form of a voice that is informative, non-arrogant, and knowledgeable.
I agree for this one reason the auto plants...its like a spider. detroit being its body and then parts are made in neighboring states..we always knew when people were down on buying cars cause at Northern Engraving we would be Laid off..so Detroit was always near and dear to our hearts and still is the Bennie is I adore Bob* the family knows it. My aunt Tin LIZZIE would say at thanksgiving when it was her turn to have it (very proud of her inspection roll for the auto company) god bless Detroit the maker of this feast.. ;) thats how I was introduced to Detroit after that prayer I wanted to find out more and did I worked for Northern On and Off for 10 years.
