There's no reason to work for the man in this wonderful country of ours. Just met with my husbands , now my business partner to go over the details of the new company . He and my spouse ave been working on patents for sometime and he's has quite a few and other ventures and seeing how he has some free time now we decided upon our venture of passive income bringing in about 15 g a day to start. I'm gonna be busy doing the marketing portion since I have all the contacts until it gets going and off the ground and then well, fishing, writing a few songs.

I took NCLEX prep course at
I took NCLEX prep course at the university of Arlington . I went to a big job fair and won it. It was really expensive. I was so tickled because I never win anything. I told the lady now don't loose that entry because she dropped it and she picked up and said I won't and next thing I know they are calling my name. It was so helpful. If you can take it, see if you can start in icu cause once you can take care of those pts you can do anything. I wanted surgery at first until I stood on my feet 10 hrs straight for a plastic reconstructive surgery where they basically rebuilt this guys whole face and I said this is for the birds. I would however like to work for a plastic surgeon. I wouldn't get implants or anything because my mom and my aunt both have those and I wouldn't have foreign material in my body for nothing. I would however get a lift to make em a little more perky.lol. Maybe when I got older a miracle lift but none of that Botox crap. Screw pumping toxins into my system or fat injections or whatever' , like when you see those girls with huge lips or they look like that cat woman who's had to many surgeries. I think I will just grow old gracefully. If you take care of yourself you shouldn't need all that crap.i have no problem in the butt area.lol or the boobs for that matter, just saying a lift might be good when gravity starts taking over.lmaoritf. Gravity is a harsh mistress.

And I thank him for my butt and boobs...I'm just sayin :) But yeah, I take care of myself so I don't need all that crap, but a little gravity helper outer...a little tummy tuck maybe...I'd consider it, although I've never really had surgery unless you count getting my wisdom teeth out :) And why not some permanent facial hair removal while we're at it? I mean, if ya wanna feel good, even though others don't notice, why not go for the deluxe package...oh, the price, yeah, that's right, I gotta feed the dog first! lol ;)

Mine shut down after 45 min and it scared the crap out of me. I went through and went with my gut feelings and finished as many as I could as fast as I could like on the entrance exam. I just knew I failed and I passed the first time. I wanted to cry on the way home but thought there's no way I failed because I graduated w honors twice.

I know what you are talking about. I felt okay til the lady @ the front desk scared the shit outta me. I graduated with honors as well, Phi Theta Kappa. Remembering how i answered some made me feel better. BUT i felt real relief when i paid the $7.95 and it said PASS. That is when i screamed like a crazy woman "YES". My cat kept looking @ me funny til i left the house. Was sitting around all grungy scared to even get ready as i wanted to be sure i had a reason to go out and celebrate not stay home and cry!
Ah well it is over like i say. Now i just gotta wait for the paperwork to get my license and pay fees of course. Hope that don't take long but it probably will. I am in a holding pattern job wise for now. Looking @ all my opportunities and starting to weigh them in what i want to do in nursing @ this point. Wanna go with the best job option/situation for me! Not compromise. Wanna make good pay, be treated right, trained right and NO BULLSHIT! I don't think i will get that where i a currently @ but we will see is all i know. I am gonna give them a chance to see what they will offer etc. I want surgery wherever i go and go from there. Whether it is PACU, actual surgery, pre-op, just something along those lines is the main thing to me.
I took longer because i wanted to be sure i read the questions right. You misread it you mess up a whole question. And that sometimes happens to me if i go too fast. I pick the questions apart to make sure i am answering it right. Skills Saunder's prep book teaches ya! You can literally have something you really know nothing about and got a good chance of getting it right if you know how to take a test and do questions. THAT HELPS as you get so much thrown @ you in school. And anybody that says they know it all doesn't know shit honestly! Yeah i remember a lot but i also realize i don't know it all/everything.
VERY few ppl truly know the stress of state boards unless they been there. ONE test defines your future.

Congrats for hanging in there & making it through those boards, Ajay! Ok, I'll fess up why I hate tests: As if law school 5 hour essay exams for pretty much each class each semester weren't bad enough, the 2 1/2 day state bar examination is a BITCH!!! I should know...smarty pants humbled here didn't pass until the 3rd time (but that's the charm right lol)! Again though, I'm a stubborn blonde norwegian lol :) The first is when I thought I knew everything from school lol so I didn't study...whopping colossal stupid! The second, well, I was living in a tent, studying :) & helping care for my roommate's cancer dying father. I don't recall now if I'd taken the test before or after he died, it's all a blur, but I missed by 4 points...MegaSuck! But through it all I learned finally how to appropriately study...Kudos to your study skills, Ajay!!! How happy I was to share the news of getting a little envelope of congratulations instead of the big 1 with my sucky essays I had to work on. Yuk! I knew the information but froze when it came time to structure my essay...focused on that big time & that made all the difference. But we had to wait months to find out if we passed, so whaddya do in the meantime for income, huh? I found a lot to do, but it ain't easy out here in Big Sky Country. Anywho, now I know how to study so it wouldn't be as terrible, so taking it in another state would be better plus those states probably have reciprocity with others; MT doesn't unless they've recently changed. I'd have to check. I learned a lot from the process. Mentors & good review books are key. Whatever work I'd like to do in the future I would never waste money like that again...I promise. I'm with ya, RJL, I'm a lot more productive working from home, the more fluidity, the more I get done. I'm not a couch sitter...I don't do well sitting still...no eating bon bons TV watching for this girl unless we're talking chocolate covered strawberries & Wheel of Fortune! :) Man, I'm a cheap date! :)

I have friends that make 6 figures w an ADN . I used to but. Got tired of running my ass off. Now I took a cut to work from home for insurance comp. still it's not chump change and I save gas and putting miles on my challenger rt. my baby.

TYVM Anna and all! You gotta be positive and do your best. SPENT 2 hours and 75 grueling questions in there with that test. Shut down @ 75 and about shit myself. You get two results when you shut it down @ 75 either you done really shitty or really good enough that they know you know enough to be an RN. I had a lady @ the front desk scare the shit outta me on my way out. I said i guess i will be seeing you again to which she responded "Yeah". Then she says everyone says that. SHE was kind of a bitch if you ask me. That scared the shit outta me. Then she is all like drive careful and be safe on your way home. EVIL woman right there. If she didn't want to give me a hint all she had to do was not respond @ all instead of scaring the shit outta me!
I kind of knew pretty sure a couple of hours after i tested but i needed the real results. I tried to register to pay for the test again and it wouldn't let me. It had me on hold status. That right there tells ya. If you failed it would let you register again and take your money. I don't know why they don't end the drama and let you know. It is computerized. THEY know when you are done with the test. INSTEAD you get to go through hell til you get your results. And then with the front desk lady i about had my 19th nervous breakdown r/t this boards shit!
Now i gotta wait on my paperwork and pay for yet another state license. Just paid for my LPN mid January....ain't that a bugger! State of Illinois will get you coming and going! My last LPN license which kind of saddens...But not that much, time to move on to the next level! And i grumble about paying for the license but i will pay gladly to move on to the next level!

Bingo. I kept getting harder and harder questions on boards. Had so many multiple responses i was about to shit myself! I was taking my time and reading each frigging question to be sure i answered it right. TELL your sister in law to study Saunders NCLEX RN the latest edition. Then do the online through Evolve/elsivier. They are tough but if she does the multiple response it will help prepare her for boards!

ps - my brother paid for my sister in law to get a transcription certification and she quit. So this time, he said he'd pay for it... but she had to agree to finish. God bless my brother, he's sticking to his guns. My sister in law is already complaining about going to work and she hasn't finished school yet. It's kinda cute. She did get an electrical engineer degree before they met, but she really likes be a wife and Mom. And... loves the bigger houses, diamond rings, etc. Stessing my brother out. She said, what can I do to help. After about 5 years, he said... get a job too. LOL
