A half a day later and three tickets in my hand: Oh, so nobody is going to Vegas, huh? Y'all can't be burnt already?
Burnt? Or this post is in the wrong place? Somebody tell me where to connect with Kid mf'n Rockers that are going DOWN! Down to Vegas! I've met up with other fans on just two occasions in the past 10 years. It would be slick if I could in Vegas. Either way I'm sure I'll see some of the KRockers from the site.

Thank you everyone for all of the outstanding comments. I hope that Kid Rock reads these comments from his fans; he will understand how important that is award is to everyone. I agree 100% on your thoughts. He continously gives back to the less fortunate across the nation and that is a great thing. The heart of the auto industry is in Detroit and it is the backbone of the economy for the entire nation. His efforts to help Detroit and the surrounding areas helped the auto industry and the whole area crawl out of a hole and a very dark place. It is admirable. This award is small way of giving back and to recognize him for all that he has done for the area. I hope that he accepts the nomination. But if he is too humble and declines, I would understand. I just hope that he reads these comments to understand the positive feelings of his fans.

I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically agree Mr. Ritchie is the perfect, most deserving person MSED of Detroit could choose to recieve The Trailblazer Award. Thank you Mr. Toms for your time and efforts to contact his management. I hope you find success because he definitely is an industry impact player as he sells out his shows and fans clamor for more. Without a doubt his impact in the music industry, with his wide genre of styles, is legendary...locally, nationally and internationally.I don't know about all the ins and outs of marketing, but I do see he "shows great creativity in the application of marketing tools" and he's "not afraid to take risks." I loved watching that video again, thank you for sharing the link. I always smile when I see it and think, WOW, is he a good, kind, generous, and gracious man. I have the utmost respect and admiration for all Kid Rock does for people, those we know about and those I suspect he helps 'behind the scenes' without anyone but the recipient(s) knowing. He is a loving man who gives generously and humbly. He has a beautiful heart...you can see it in his actions; he is a good, kind soul...well-deserving of your efforts and this award. Nice to see someone recognize the broad and deep things he does for not only people in Detroit, but all those places on his Care Tour, and really everywhere he goes. He always finds some way to do more, some way to help more. We need more people in this world to learn from his lead in how to intelligently yet compassionately help people. Brings tears to my eyes just thinking what a good man, through and through, Mr. Ritchie has been, is, and continues to be.

Excellent. Glad he is recognized for his effort to keep his hometown afloat. Dunno in light of these economic times if even Kid's strongest efforts can do it, but i salute him for giving it his best. NOT an easy task. Especially when some ppl seem so ungrateful and piss in his face when he offers help. I mean to get slagged in the press by the ppl after doing good deeds...it would be hard to keep doing them.
So yeah to recognize him for all he does would definitely be a step in the right direction.

Hey Chad, I'm not sure who you would contact, but I just wanted to say, I think its a really cool thing. When we see everything he does, and all that he's involved in, I couldn't think of a more deserving person.

Having been born right in the D and growing up on the north end of Flint, MI not far from where he grew up . . . being the same age . . . having the exact same musical influences, I've always felt a sort of a connection to Kid Rock. As big as he is, I can tell that he is still just a regular guy with a big heart. I've often thought that if I ever had his level of fame, I would handle things the exact same way. He's still one of the people in the D and I greatly admire him for that. It fires me up to see him give back to the community and I would love to recognize him for that. It would be an honor to present him with this award for all that he has done to keep the D on the map. Without him, Detroit may have been taken off of life support. You can knock us down but we keep getting back up.
Here is a small example of why I think that he deserves this award. It is a video about him helping out a little girl with leukemia. He goes out of his way with his foundation to help others. That is admirable and makes me so proud to be a Kid Rock fan. Please watch it and you’ll see what makes him special.
