My name is Amy and on May 19, 2013 my grandson died.
He was sleeping and vomited and choked.

Sometimes I can hit shit even
Sometimes I can hit shit even if it were a boulder in front of me. I hate to say this and a lot of it is probably nerves or fear but when I'm drinking, I can usually belt it out and that's not necessarily a good thing. I think it has to do with holding back vs letting it all go which is the difference in a singer and a star if ya ask me. You got to give in and give 110% no matter what anyone says and that shows heart, initiative, and cahoneys and people feel it when you hold back and they are just as uncomfortable as you are usually.

you know that's what is so weird, I can sing, when I'm not thinking about and just singing from the heart, I think i sound alright, that's what folks say. Or is that me when I'm driving in the car or in the shower oh geeze. I'll leave it to the pro's. The holding back thing, my view is that this is typically true with life and all aspects of it, love, work, etc. Just my view.

I hear ya BJ , I hate math too, especially statistics but music is basic math , timing and its funny that I don't remember but my mind hears the song and I have the timing from memory and sometimes I can hit all the notes like when I sat at the piano doing billy Joel songs.

I'm going to be getting with my doctors friend in Nashville who does it for a living hopefully. My doctor and I are good friends. He's got me a hook up for just about everything from attorneys, judges, you name it. He's too funny.

That's cool RJL, and you know I can't play a music note either. Actually I just mentioned to Ma the other day, everybody knows musical notes and can play instruments except me. Even my little nieces, 12,10 & 7. The seven year old sax, 10 flute, the 12 yr old trumpet, just picked up the sax. The same goes for the rest of the family too. Hey maybe I can learn the tamberine, til I saw KR play that one show, I said naw maybe not. Man, he made that thing dance in his hands!

Awesome Bobby Jean. So true, so true. I agree 100%. This song started w a friend of a friend who is a musician. I was given the 1st line because they had it in their head but couldn't come up w the rest so the first line was given to me and within 5 seconds I had the second line and within 15 min had the whole song. Still working on a few changes though and some may depend on the music but I agree. Without seeing things broken , you just don't know how good the other things are. I love the metaphor of the prism. Reminds me of TI in Care- how could they know right had they not known wrong or even a song I wrote a while back talking about a world perfect. Anyway my friend started laughing , shaking their head saying they have been working on that 11/2 years and you spout out a song like nothing. I said well if it means anything I can't play music for shit, at least not yet. Lol

beautiful! the thing that comes to my mind is it would be wonderful to see life w/out hurt and mistakes and results thereof; however you know that prism, spectrum thing that you look in and b/c of all the breaks you get to see all the beautiful different shapes and colors... I understand what you are saying and it is beautiful, but just in case this is from your life experience, just know sometimes the breaks are what help you to see the beauty that you may not have otherwise. just a bit of food for thought.
