Summer event season is in full swing in the Quad City area. And as the events go on, so does severe weather.
Event organizers must plan for any possible weather conditions. Burlington Steamboat Days President and Des Moines County Sheriff, Mike Johnson, said organizers run through exercises with emergency management crews.
"We think of all possible scenarios that could happen at Steamboat Days," he said.

Are women allowed to be judges? Is there a hands-on component to the judging criteria? Hey, I haven't ever been on the boat before and I don't want to assume...you know what happens then. While mine are for my one and only man's pleasure, if he wouldn't mind, I wouldn't argue with having a looky-loo and helping out with a good cause. Now, I just gotta get on that boat...I can swim so if any journalistic dweebs don't wanna stay, give me a call. :)

YES woman can be judges for the contest, It is all meant to be fun, you dont have to bare all to participate, that option is up to the individual and Anyone should ask permission before touching
All we need is cabin number, name and state for a judge and whiether they are a cruise newbie (virgin) or 2year, 3year or 4year veteran on CTM Cruises
