Bob presents and performs at the Honors for Zep.
Is it ideal? No. But it is so sweet to watch.....and 5 years from now, I will still go watch that video to marvel at Bob's performance. Kenny Aranoff's an old friend too, and being able to watch him perform again in this setting is priceless, no disrepect to Ms. Steph.

Yes the sound sucks, but it is cool for people who can't make it to a show to see what the view is from the stands. I took KR's plea to the fans as don't look before you come...it's sorta like a kid shaking a wrapped present trying to figure out what it is before they open it...just be patient & wait. I decided if I record any of the shows I won't post till after the fall.

Rock and Roll Jesus....now this is the classic live clip that must drive perfectionist Bob and the the band nuts due to the sound quality.
I love it. The muddy sound, the angle of the presentation, the great crowd response. Stuck at home with little discretionary income, these videos make it for me as a fan. They are perfect, because they show all the intensity of a live show.
Would I rather be there....oh, you bet, but that's not possible. Next best thing is this route and I would sure hate to see them removed from video sites. These off the cuff videos capture a bands' history. Now moving towards the Hall of Fame, watching those old clips of Bob and TBT bring back precious memories of that time and make me proud of how far all of them have come.
I can understand them not wanting surprises ruined. And I think Bob asked nicely and explained why he wanted folks to refrain.
But I hope this form of presentation gets worked out legally between the source and the delivery mechanism so that compensation is awarded to the artist, rather than have them all wiped off the face of the earth.
I know how that band sounds live. If I could be at every show to watch all the changes each nite, and see every delightful detail, I would. I cannot. I vote for YouTube, and I sure would not mind a small fee sent to the artist as part of the privilege of watching.

Some people are just mean. I don't get how people say they "don't like Kid Rock" when I talk about him to clients and yet they have never bought his music or gone to a concert. We know how much good Bob does for Michigan, and other places. Some people just have pissy attitudes and you can't change them so don't waste the time and energy trying. As for me and my family.......we LOVE Kid Rock!

I am glad I am not the only one who was ABSOLUTELY APPALLED by the vitriolic, nasty, bitter, and negative people with apparently nothing better to do than to spread unenlightened hatred. Blue, this happens all the time here, Oakland Press had the same link, and most of the comments were nasty, Even when he joined w/ Pulte to give a disabled vet and his family a new home, the article got horrible responses, mostly about KR being a publicity whore. He helped a local Clarkston park build a water spray park, He helped his High School music department w/ a sizable donation. Not sure, but I think he helped a downriver School replace all their equipment that was stolen from their trailer. Most of this got local attention, and believe me, most of the comments were negative. I personally don't understand all the vitriol, but, he didn't burn any bridges w/ me.

Because he is injured and thinks you are up to no good is only thing i can figure. SOME ppl think like an injured animal and act like it....
NOT everyone is evil...i know many who are. But some ppl are genuinely nice good ppl. I like to think i am, but i am human and i won't deny it. I have good days and bad days. I am sure Kid does too. He talks about it in some of his lyrics on Rebel Soul. I get it. I HAVE DONE MANY PPL GOOD TURNS AND NOT EXPECTED A THING. Others i have helped and they bent over backwards to thank me. I don't do things to always get a thank you. I do them most times because i want to. But like Kid it is nice to be appreciated and done right by folks....Do i use it to my advantage? Only when threatened by ppl...YOU come @ me you better be ready to do all you say you will is all i got to say or don't even open your suck.
Bluntly i guess the ppl of Detroit and the like are so bitter and burnt they don't know how to show gratitude for a good turn. Kid will tire of doing right by them and getting bit. I know i did with a few ppl in my life....SO now when they as things of me i tell them no. Screw me once shame on you...screw me twice shame on me. There won't be a third time.

If they ban it they will be fools. I already know of a major site that handles all kinds of bootlegs from lord knows how far back to right now. THEY are free to d/l. They wanna ban videoing? That happens and many who would have went will d/l the bootlegs and say piss on the artists. ONLY takes one or two good bootlegs in a concert series to see the show....
ME personally if i video, i video one song maybe 2 in a show. For my own use. USUALLY my favorite song. Along with pics. ONLY mementos. Keeps it in my mind for the next tour and such.
He did a good move not banning it. I was so pissed @ Poison when they banned cameras for the show in Maryland Heights. As punishment i nixed doing a show review that would have garnered enough ink for them on a few major rocks sites they probably lost selling a few hundreds tickets or more for the tour. I do full reviews: set list, run time, venue, date, enough quality pics, and a fair enough review it does hurt them when they ban cameras & video from a show.
