The Allesee Gallery of Culture and the Kid Rock Music Lab
Imagine hearing the unmistakable sound of a baseball meeting the full force of Hall of Famer Al Kaline’s bat at Tiger Stadium. Imagine feeling the thrill as the solid, brass-colored elevator doors slowly opening onto the 12th floor of downtown Hudson’s, revealing aisle upon aisle of your favorite toys.

This so reminds me of the
This so reminds me of the song--"The River and The Highway" by Pam Tillis--
(gerry house/don schlitz)
"She follows the path of least resistance
She doesn’t care to see the mountain top
She twists and turns with no regard to distance
She never comes to a stop
And she rolls, she’s a river
Where she goes, time will tell
Heaven knows, he can’t go with her
And she rolls, all by herself
All by herself
He’s headed for a single destination
He doesn’t care what’s standing in his path
He’s a line between two points of separation
He ends just where it says to on the map
And he rolls, he’s a highway
Where he goes, time will tell
Heaven knows, she can’t go with him
And he rolls, all by himself
All by himself
And every now and then, he offers her a shoulder
And every now and then, she overflows
And every now and then, a bridge crosses over
It’s a moment that every lover knows
And she rolls (and he rolls)
She’s a river (he’s a highway)
Where she goes (where he goes)
Time will tell (time will tell)
Heaven knows she can’t go with him (he can’t go with her)
And she rolls all by herself
And he rolls all by himself
Fare thee well"
Also reminds me of "The Mirror"
Totally LOVE both of these songs :-)
Your lyrics need some kick-ass music to go with them, Brian :-)
This would be an AWESOME song :-)
Im in love.

When I was a young man I had
When I was a young man I had two close friends. We were going to be the next great poet band like The Doors. Of course I was going to be the next Jim Morrison. We were dropping lot's of acid to expand our minds. Fear took Kevin as he thought I was going to far....ya right me go to far....lol .......and hard drugs took Michael. I had written tons of poems and songs while under the influence and Kevin who took off took them with him. I would love to have them back. I haven't written much but did have a few published in the early 80s. Wish I had found someone else to partner with as I always wanted to be a Rock Star. LOL. Now I'm a middle aged balding fat guy with four kids who just acts like a Rock Star. Last night we went to the grocery store and I walked the isles belting out Let's Ride and everyone I past lite up with big smiles. I don't lack confidence and I can sing like a mofo. Kid Rock is my fav to sing. I loved to love songs to the BJ Dealers in Vegas and watch em as they light up ear to ear. Usually when I would start singing they would dump their tray. I had to be pretty drunk though.
I traveled down to Memphis to
I traveled down to Memphis to try to find a way.
I traveled down to Memphis and begged my baby to stay.
She wouldn't even listen and went on down the road.
Now me and my buddy McFarland sittin like a toad.
Singing songs to the river that flows down to the sea.
Wish my baby would have listened when I was on one knee.
Now your talkin.
Now your talkin.
Me and Duke on the front porch
getting fucked up and torched
songs and idea's comin in all sorts
Our ladies both say
Can't you see we can't stay
Say please let me be
I don't know why you can't see
sing my songs to the river
In Memphis Tennessee
Thank you I enjoyed that, and
Thank you I enjoyed that, and the part that says mother of so many songs makes me laugh, could say I'm the mother of so many songs .
