Good Morning Kisses (and lots and lots and lots of 'em), My Sweet Sweet Angel!!! I pray you awoke super sparkly, with your smiles and twinkles at the ready for your joyful blessings of your day. I pray your mind, body, heart, and precious rebel soul are well-rested and balanced from your night of healing slumber. May your day be as beautifully lit as mine. Thank you, My Love. May you feel safe, secure, and super smiley as you springy smooth swagger throughout your day's adventures. May you feel great love swirling in and around you at every moment - comforting, supporting, and encouraging you - as He is there with you, as am I. As You Wish, Robert James Ritchie, As You Wish. My deepst apologies...I fell asleep on the couch as I was waiting to say goodnight...I'm sorry, Sweetheart.

Please excuse the short pause, but, oh my, that was necessary...and, oh yes, that quick sometimes, too. ...Anyway, oh, yes...the corndog...you see, I haven't had one in quite a long time. I burst out laughing at my initial thought of having one...and then was smiling during the whole in...out...purchase adventure...and then I was battling laughing so hard versus wanting to take a bite. No mustard though; it had the potential to mess with the delicate taste balance of hot dog and corn encasement.

I love how you can always get me to laugh...I treasure it...I cherish you.Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to get me to laugh and to encourage me. You are the sweetest, most kind man...I feel so loved. I needed a quick snack...so I pulled off the road near the edge of town...and...I splurged....on a corndog. Where did you think I was going with this? Well, I guess I have done what you may have been thinking ;) so I'll give you that :) Speaking of which...I have an idea.

Woodpeckers are found worldwide, except for Australia, New Zealand, Madagascar, & the extreme polar regions. Most live in forests or woodland habitats. They have strong bills for drilling & drumming on trees & long sticky tongues for extracting food. The bill's chisel-like tip is kept sharp by the pecking action in birds that regularly use it on wood. The long sticky tongues, which possess bristles, aid these birds in grabbing & extracting insects deep within a hole of a tree. To prevent brain damage from the rapid & repeated impacts, woodpeckers have evolved a number of adaptations to protect the brain. These include small brain size, the orientation of the brain within the skull (which maximizes the area of contact between the brain & the skull) & the short duration of contact. The millisecond before contact with wood a thickened nictitating membrane closes, protecting the eye from flying debris. The nostrils are also protected; they are often slit-like & have special feathers to cover them. Their feet consist of four toes, good for grasping the limbs & trunks of trees. They can walk vertically up a tree trunk, which is beneficial for activities such as foraging for food or nest excavation. In addition to the strong claws & feet, woodpeckers have short strong legs ( typical of birds that regularly forage on trunks). Their diet consists mainly of insects & their grubs taken from living & dead trees, & other arthropods, along with fruit, nuts & sap from live trees. Ecologically, they help to keep trees healthy by keeping them from suffering mass infestations. They are typically monogamous. A pair will work together to help build the nest, incubate the eggs & raise their young. However, in most species the male does most of the nest excavation & takes the night shift while incubating the eggs. The eggs are incubated for about 11–14 days before the chicks are born. It takes about 18–30 days before the young are ready to leave the nest. I guess no headaches :)

I was wondering...do woodpeckers get headaches? ...Do you know? :) ...On my loop, I heard and then saw this one really going at it...man, the aspen tree trunk was hard...I almost got a headache :) I wonder if the almighty Wikipedia has something to say on the subject :) Geekdom will have to wait until after my errands. Hope you're having a really great day, Mr. Mayor :)

Ok, the boots are on and Sonya, as far as I can tell from her excited sounds, is also thinking a walk is a good idea. She knows the word walk so I hafta say W :) Thank God, she hasn't figured that one out yet, but she always knows the signs...boots on, contacts in... Anyway, I found something I'd forgotten about and giggles popped out. When I taught Communication (really 1st Amendment) Law in small, southern conservative Boone, I had the students split up into groups for their "final" (I hate tests and felt them applying their skills and working together was a better use of all of our time.) I gave them a few things I'd like to see and then said use your imagination and have fun. Some included games and trivia and other creative things...we did have a lot of fun while learning. One group did their presentation on porn :) They did a great job, handed out "I (heart) porn" buttons, and all :) I'd put mine on during class...and forgot to take it off as I strolled throughout Boone the rest of the day. No wonder I was getting a few strange looks :) Well, I just found the button again and it made me giggle. Thought I'd share random, non-toe nail information :) Afternoon smiles, air, and unending pretty kisses to you, Sweetheart!!! :)
