Summer event season is in full swing in the Quad City area. And as the events go on, so does severe weather.
Event organizers must plan for any possible weather conditions. Burlington Steamboat Days President and Des Moines County Sheriff, Mike Johnson, said organizers run through exercises with emergency management crews.
"We think of all possible scenarios that could happen at Steamboat Days," he said.

lol back at you :) Goldilocks, neither too big or too small but just right, nipply environment rules the day here. My mom and my sister experienced what you mention. I hope you recovered well, like them both, and feel really good. Me, on the other hand, I am thank God healthily intact because He knew what He was doing, even when I didn't understand and have experienced some really tough owies. Almost passed out in a grocery store once. Left my cart in the middle and scared my mom when I returned empty handed and exhausted to the car; she drove me immediately to the emergency. No problems, just owies. I've always confounded the doctors with my healthy body, even when they thought I should fit into some other category or statistic. They don't know what I know and I've been through enough of them to figure out what they don't know; I heal immensely from good sleep. Always have, but it is only with age that I have understood it's power and neccesity. I'm a natural healer so hopefully no complaining or hesitation...just plowin' a head :)
