    Bob Seger and Kid Rock are good friends who have talked about doing shows together for years. Finally, this vision has become a reality. Both artists have been preparing for Spring tours. The trick was getting the tour schedules, which are crisscrossing the country, to match up. The result will be two special concerts featuring Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band and Kid Rock & The Twisted Brown Trucker Band: the first in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN on March 15, the second in Fargo, ND on March 16.

    Seger and Kid Rock go back a long way. The two became friends shortly after they met in 2000. Rock inducted Seger into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and appeared on Seger’s 2006 Face The Promise album for a duet of Vince Gill’s “Real Mean Bottle”. Seger appeared on Kid Rock’s Born Free album playing piano on his duet with Sheryl Crow, “Collide”. Seger and his Silver Bullet Band have often rehearsed at Rock’s rehearsal warehouse. Both share an interest in classic cars and both have stayed true to their Michigan roots.

    Seger has written and recorded many timeless classics through his career including Turn The Page, Night Moves, Mainstreet, Against The Wind, Hollywood Nights, Like A Rock, Rock And Roll Never Forgets, We’ve Got Tonite, Old Time Rock And Roll, Her Strut, You’ll Accomp’ny Me, Travelin Man/Beautiful Loser, and Katmandu.

    Kid Rock, an early innovator, masterfully clashing hip hop, rock and country musical styles, has written and recorded many classics of his own, including “Bawitdaba”, “Cowboy”, “Only God Knows Why”, “Picture” (duet with Sheryl Crow), “All Summer Long”, “So Hott”, “Born Free”, “Forever”, “American Bad Ass” and soon to be’s from his new album “Rebel Soul”.

I was checking out Segars tour dates and schedule and I thought damn he must be kicking it still because he's getting good prices for his tickets and then I looked up and saw Kid Rocks name beside his. What I didn't see was any Texas dates or shows other than Beaumont for Kid. WTF did Dallas do? Or FW? Every show I went to there was always sold out! I was going to drive to La but all the dates are during the week and some people have to work. I know, I know, I should feel lucky I'm going to OK show but LA would actually be closer and I can take the week off but my hubby can't and I'm not making that track alone. Oh well, maybe next time. It would be great to see Bob and Bob together. There's a lot of Segar fans in Tx.

This will be an awesome concert!!! I have tickets to see Kid Rock in Birmingham, Al for 2/13 I love me some Kid Rock and when I was a teenager I loved Bob Seger and still do actually just bought a few Bob Seger CD's and I've just about wore them out playing them over and over brings back memories..I wish these two would consider Atlanta, Ga in their tour in the spring I'd sure be there and I know it would be a hit down here...these two Michigan men are popular not only up north but they have some dedicated fans down here too :) So Kid or Bob if you see this consider this an invitation to come on down we'd love to see you!!

Wow I grew up in Mich and still here now I live in Holly Just around the corner from The Kid.I grew up listening to Bob, Then Bobby hit the radio I was like OMG I love kid Rock. I was lucky enough to go with a friend last year @ Comerica Park because he won tickets. then in Nov of 11 I won a Meijers card that the Kid donated to needy local families thru WRIF. As a child I grew up poor so I never went to concerts my 1st concert was the Kid last august of 2011. my Dream would be to see them together OMG @ DTE so Come on. Bob & Bobby please lets do it. And send me 3 tickets for my teenage boys and myself please! also get Hank Jr wow now that's a show, Love you guys! Vicki!

I was lucky enough to see Segar for my first time in AZ a couple Decembers ago. I saw Kid Rock in San Diego an August before that. Enjoyed both concerts (have to admit I liked Kid's a bit more; maybe because I didn't have crazy lady next to me insisting upon talking - who talks through a concert?) Anyway, I've seen all my favorites: the Eagles, Buddy Guy, BB King...I feel I'm done with concerts, but if Kid and Segar do a show in San Diego together, that will be my ultimate concert!! I'm on board!!

i think i saw them together on stage in orlando florida not so long ago- it was a great time-to say the least......... it was my 46th kid rock concert and can't wait til feb 18th ft myers- to make#47- i love him and his music so much- might have to go to minn/st.paul (heading there wed. to see FUN.) but KID ROCK - it's always a great show.......hope you had a wonderful birthday full of " COCAINE & GIN"-and then did you look in THE MIRROR.....love those new songs! smiles-anna

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOB - Time is like a trick, it disappears and oh so quick.- So I hope your Birthday was a good one.- you have about 5 minutes left in my time zone. Quadragenarians are a little more mellow, and a lot more calm than we were at thirty something. Enjoy these next few years, they are good ones, I really hope you and Bob Seger team up sometime soon to do a concert at the Gorge Amphitheater in George, Washington. It is the most beautiful place ever for an outdoor concert, and the acoustics in the Gorge are unbelievable - It would be a concert you would never forget, All that is behind the stage is a beautiful sunset, and the Columbia River in the canyon below. It is like you are on top of the world with nothing behind you but a beautiful sunset, and in front of you there would be a big ass crowd drinking beer and getting high, and everyone there came from miles away just to see you guys!! - There is no mistaking that because all you see from the freeway are desert areas or farmland, no stores, no houses, nothing else for miles and miles

The Best Rock Legend of our Time, Mr. Rock N Roll, sharing the stage with a long time friend and colleague because rock and roll never does forget…thank God. You and Mr. Seger with too many classics…musical masterpieces…it’s difficult to mention them all, but I can see your heart, Cowboy, and having you both together on stage, and us in the pit, will be all we’ve ever dreamed! Very cool, I know you are so stoked about the shows with Seger, the Bobs on tour rocking the house, the fans are in for a huge treat. I am drinking Jim Beam tonight to celebrate your birthday, I'm gonna have a headache tomorrow but its all good!!! I might cuss ya in the morning when the alarm goes off, ha ha.
