I got one fer ya-- I woke up from a dream a Devil without a cause had a dream of a black chick ,white guy in the background i heard the Party Ode.Today im feeling like a Gangster from the Oldschool.
Let me first repeat the comment I posted last week on your Facebook page:
Fuck David Von Bader. In the ass. With his smart phone. Anyone who reports people having a good time on New Year’s Eve as “heartbreaking” is a narrow-minded idiot. You are who you are, and that’s all you’ve ever claimed to be. Neither Von Hater nor the New Times deserve your attention. Let the review go, and have faith karma will balance the scales, maybe with a nice venereal disease.
Okay. With that of the way…
Growing up on a small family farm, nestled in the foothills between the Olympic and Cascade Mountains in Washington State, I wasn’t exposed to much beyond C.W. McCall, Dionne Warwick, and Barbara Streisand. Television was worse. As a band geek, I broadened my horizons. As a teenager, I discovered KISS and Alice Cooper. In 1990, I got married and moved to Florida. My husband brought home DEVIL WITHOUT A CAUSE in 1998. Since then, watching you develop, both as an artist and as a human being, has been one of the highlights of my adult life. When you played “So Hott” in Times Square a few years ago, I grinned from ear to ear. I was tickled for you, proud of you, and honored to be a fan.
But it’s not just me, which prompts me to wonder: Back when you were an egotistical, crotch-grabbing, foul-mouthed, punk-ass kid from the suburbs, did you know how many lives you would change? Did you foresee fan sites like Extreme Kid Rock and Facebook groups like KRF and Chillin’ the Most, where thousands of fans would flock to share their love for you? Did you know those fans would band together, travel from one concert to the next, form life-long friendships, and forever defend your honor? Did you imagine The Sisterhood of the Traveling Banner, an international network of fans that ensure the same banners pop up at show after show? Did you expect the creation of groups like the Eye Candy Friday club, who share photos and videos of you daily and donate thousands of dollars to the Rainbow Connection every year? Or the Kid Rock Life Line, a non-profit that offers support during personal tragedy and has shipped countless boxes of needed supplies to fans across the country who lost everything to fire or flood? Did you know, then, that thousands of Kid Rock fans would follow your lead and strive to make this world a better place by performing small, random acts of kindness every day?
Did you know? Or has this all been a divine accident? Not that it matters. Either way, I’d like to thank you: for the friends, the memories, and the example. I wouldn’t be me without you. No shit. Now, get back to work and kick some more ass!
Sincerely,

I'm an author who said I'd never put out an e-book ... we all do things we don't wanna do, so we can keep doing what we do. ;)
What's wrong with being a
What's wrong with being a groupie....If I could take my three boys on the road and be Kid Rock Groupies you better believe I would. Crazy ass laws about school and stuff.
It's an inside joke in my
It's an inside joke in my world. I use the phrase often in conjunction with Kid Rock events. For example, REBEL SOUL was released on a Monday. I tell people I bought it on Tuesday, "because I'm not a groupie." ;)
Very nicely written Dawn!!
Very nicely written Dawn!! Fans like you are one example of why I too am proud to support such an amazing artist.
Thank you, Connie :)
Thank you, Connie :)
Lotta goodness comes outta
Lotta goodness comes outta this Kid Rock community.. great read Dawn.
And I agree... with Val.. wish more folks would come post on the official more often. Share concert reviews, experiences with friends. Even though I have never met Dawn or K8... I am aware of the great things they have done like last year, the pre-cruise get together yall put together at the erotic museum.. haha. I totally missed it because I was staying at a hotel near the Miami airport and didn't have much funds to get around.. but saw everything that was to go down from facebook.. yall brought bottles of bubbly, booze for shots, and snacks... books.. got everybody situated with rides to and from their bayside hotels to the erotic musuem and then to the preparty. Awesome stuff you guys... wish I could of taken part in that... perhaps you could do a small write up on how it turned out for some of us that didn't get to go :)
Beckxy, I remember
Beckxy, I remember communicating here in prep of the party. If at any time you come to Southern Florida, funds or not, get in touch. We had several vehicles in Miami, as we are all locals. We would have happily got you to the party and then some. That said, and outside of shows, if you come this way, give us a heads up and we'll show you, "A REAL BIG TIME!" Thank you for your sweet words. You're still one of my heroes!
Thank you, Beckxy. It's
Thank you, Beckxy. It's exciting to be part of this community :) ... As for the Miami Beach event, there's really not much to tell: There were glitches in the transportation, but - besides that - we had 50-75 people in attendance (give or take, I didn't do a head count), we drank a lot, marveled at penises and vaginas, I thanked (and hugged) everybody, probably said something cheesy and stupid, then walked downstairs without my shoes, waited with the group for the limo (while the clean-up crew packed away my shoes), and later got kicked out of the Clevelander for not wearing shoes. In the end, we made some good friends, had a great time, and everybody made it safely back to wherever they came from. :)
Blahahahhaha did someone ask
Blahahahhaha did someone ask for a clean up crew!!!!! At your service. From a guest perspective, the party rocked! Dawn had champagne and wine along with some wonderful food. Met some really cool, down to earth people. I just loved that we were able to make great connections with other cruisers before boarding. It made CTM3 that more enjoyable. Only way it could have been better,,,if the whole dysfunctional family had made it. Naomi was the utmost of hosts. The museum....well, not much can be said about that. You MUST go see it. I hope some, if not all of you, will pay a visit to WEAM in March.
Yeah Kid is a pretty good guy
Yeah Kid is a pretty good guy all things considered. My only criticism would be lack of meet & greets for his KRC members soon to be Rebel Souls...HEY i had to get that in there ya know?
Well that and to me he needs to work on his lyrics year around...LIFE writes lyrics. From every experience, to how you feel, to just about everything. Who wants to scramble in the studio to get enough sets and do covers?
I do think it is cool he has Lifeline. You just never know when something tragic will happen in your life. Help when help is needed the most is the best help you can give someone. And to ask nothing in return makes it selfless...It is kind of like leaving food on someones door step who is destitute and living hand to mouth and has no clue where their next mean is coming from.
Hoping i get to hit the cruise this year...but i all i can say is we will see! Many factors are playing into that hot mess for me! Would like to see a couple more artists on there personally. Course maybe more are coming than is on Kid Rock Cruise page that has all the sold out lines through the various decks and such??? If i get to go would love to see me some Kracker on there. I wouldn't mind seeing Shooter Jennings either. I would say i would love to see Hank Williams Jr. II, but i don't think that will happen because quite honestly i think the whole cruise would have to be renamed IMO. That is kind of like another thing right there. That would be a co-cruise! Sammy Hagar would be awesome! And hell maybe he would put his supply of new RUM on the boat reasonably for the fans! Maybe someone like Darius Rucker? He has played on different musical plateaus and i like that.
I haven't been on a Kid Rock Cruise before so maybe i don't know what i am talking about as far as it goes. But i think it would be nice for 3 good shows to play in a night and for that you gotta have a few bands/artists. Each band do a couple of hours and alternate in so you can see them all by the end of the cruise.
Have to say it was very cool
Have to say it was very cool on our first two cruises to have our picture taken with Kid. Remember putting my arm around him, noticing how good he smelled, and thinking, "OHMYGOD! OHMYGOD! OHMYGOD!!" Seeing Sammy Hagar would make my husband's year. Hell, maybe his whole life! Hank, Jr., would be awesome, too. But who's on the boat really doesn't matter. There are typically half a dozen or more bands, all good, music starts around noon every day and plays long into the night. It's like a music festival at sea. Add the island concerts and it's truly an amazing experience. Hope you get to go, AJAY!
Hoping you get on this year,
Hoping you get on this year, Ajay! And, yes, we do run like chickens to be sure to catch shows we want to see. They do sometimes overlap and you have to plan accordingly. Sounds relatively easy, at least until a few drinks. LoL Here's to meeting you on four!
Yes Ajay, I agree... Sammy
Yes Ajay, I agree... Sammy Hagar would be sweet! There are artists playing at multiple times and days/nights throughout the cruise. I think Kracker and Ty Stone played 3 times total on different days. They give you a schedule so you can decide when and where.
Just finally got watch the
Just finally got watch the induction in to the rock n roll hall of fame.....the beastie boys w none other than the man himself, Kid Fucking Rock....owwhh! Love then ending w the red hot chili peppers too. Flea cracks my ass up. Not like its not already cracked. Lol I love give it away, give away, give away now. Good morning

Thinking (I know) maybe the lesson is ours....I seem to be in a transitional place where instead of lashing out at these douche bags, I pity the sad existence they call life. I am sad at the thought of the terrible happenstances that bring such negative words and thought of others to these people. I'd rather inundate him with well wishes and understanding from Bob's fans. That tends to make this type look and feel like the dip shit they have become. Okay, off my soap box...
If only, we could peek into
If only, we could peek into the eyes of destiny
We would all be happy and kickin it with our soulmate
Instead of wasting time with all the stalemates
Lol jk I miss this place!!
Ooh, I love that play on
Ooh, I love that play on words--soulmate instead of stalemate! Perfect!
All I'm saying is only God
All I'm saying is only God knows why. It was all part of some plan although we all may not know what that plan is just yet.lol

Amen , love your post . Gave me chills an I am so outta the loop I have yet to read what he did so wrong.
But I'm not interested in what he does personally .
Although I do care about him as a human being and have kinda grown up with him too
I love the part where you said crotch grabbing punk ass kid .
I busted out laughing , truth is , he is a man , a human being and we all fuck up .
Just sucks that they won't report all the great things he has done if they are gonna bash and criticize.
David Von Bader is a music
David Von Bader is a music critic in South Florida, he wrote a shitty review of Rock's New Year's Eve 'warm-up' concert (December 30). I was at the show, it rocked, and the guy's a dick. The next day, Rock posted "Biggest hater, jackass, miserable prick critic on earth!" on his site and Facebook page. That first paragraph is a direct response to his post. Not allowed to include links here, but you can find the douchebag's article on the Broward/Palm Beach New Times site. :)
"Some people have John Lennon
"Some people have John Lennon. Others Willie Nelson. In my search for someone to pattern my life after, I stumbled onto a guy named Bob." ;) .... thank you Cold, Angelique & K8 - proud to be part of this fucked up family xo
Well we all have a face that
Well we all have a face that we hide away forevea,

It's the ultimate rebel that
It's the ultimate rebel that I liked because we all have it , just most are to afraid to show it. I call it my Jeckle and Hyde complex, i mean Jackie and Heidi complex. We all have a little in us and he's not afraid to let it out by flipping someone off and saying f...you. Not that it's always correct but you have to admit, we've all done it at some time or at least felt like doing it. And who doesn't like just a little bit of a bad boy. Sometimes those bad boys are fun and let ya get that free spirit out. Cut loose, have fun, live, love and learn. That's all we can do in this sometimes miserable place. Don't get me wrong, I love life and this earth but one has to admit it can be a bitch and Kid can bring it in such a humorous way that it makes it almost bearable . Thank ya Bobby!
