Totally agree! I'm all for gathering memories but fook! What people don't realize is that perfect shot/video they are acquiring causes all of us to have their hands and apparatus included in ALL our memories. Take your pic and, "MOVE YOUR BUSTED ASS VEHICLE..." We are always very careful in picking seats at venues in South Florida. WE DANCE! And, just like that stick in the mudd, I pay good money for tix and plan on dancing if the music moves us. Ahhhh, the Freebird joke....it's a joke...I still laugh when some dumb ass belt out the request. Takes me back. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FUCKER!!! Bonfire at the Scovill house on Saturday, in Jupiter (Scott's BDay is the 17th) it's going to be epic! Pics to come ;)

First of all want to wish you a early Happy Birthday!!! I am sure Audrey will do something special for you and it will be a great time... As for the article I agree with all of it.. I have waited as long as14 hrs before for ga in Vegas at the palms and also in Dallas at the granada many years ago. It does piss you off when people shove their way to the front. As for standing their is no way possible to sit at one of your shows... Absolutely impossible. I actually dont even drink because I want to remember every minute of the show and I still have an absolute blast.. Cant wait for round four on the boat mother fucker... Cant wait for March!!! Love ya Vicki (Born Free)

Im bring my nieace so see can man the cammra for an occasional shot ever now and then,.for the most part I try to stay out of the mix for the reason of drunks. Concert in my area have changed signfanclaly since I was a teenager and I feel like thire much safeer and controled now days with a low tolorance for unruly behaivor. Its annoying when you have people yelling out names of songs they want to hear,.Ive been guilty of that in my younger years,..Im not sure if I heard it at a concert, saw it in a movie or read what a band singer once said to the crowd,...Im not a Funkin Jukebox,...and since where on the subject,..please dont sing Pitcure, but I suspect from where Im out that will be one of the songs you'll hear being requested.

My husband had several women bumping and rubbing against him trying to get to the front in Hollywood. He just stuck his elbows out, turned around and said "NO!". I just laughed and kept enjoying the show. Like I said before, if you stand in line 4+ hours to get into a GA show, you deserve to be up front. As for sitting down, I can sit down at home.

Some dude kicked me while we were trying to get to our VIP seats (D-Ford Field), I had a bump on my shin for months.

I was so excited at ford filed I stood in my chair and this man twice as tall as me giggeled my chair and said SEE YOU ALMOST FELL,..ha almost anit shoot,...good thing for him I was in the D and not OKC ,.cuz well,.well,.Theres no place like home.

Number 10 ~ brings back memories... Never forgot the time when we rode up to Maine, making a weekend out of it, after seeing a show near Boston, Mass. WhiteStar was doing their thing as your opener... I was boppin' around having myself a good time.. and this guy who looked like my fat highschool principal was two rows back demanding I sit down ~ gave this face as like he was going to turn his head around like the exorcist... I was like dude go fuck yourself this band rocks. Still have their lil four song "Sexual in your window" promo cd.. them and Mickey Avalon...Cali music love. Happy Birthday, Old Fart :)

Pushing through to the front REALLY pisses me off!! We were there early--got our spot right in front of the gate--and had to constantly fight to keep our place. Lost out eventually, (my friend and I are both 5'1) to some amazon woman. Got to glare at her lower back all night.......
rocksavedmysoul's picture

ok, I only really break one of them-taking pictures....but I have some really good shots, especially from Vegas...

Thank you, Mr. Ritchie!!! The article had me crackin up all over the place :) I really enjoyed the attitude of the writer. "Subcategory of irritation...Huge Asshole. Don't do that...Don't be the vomit guy...Equally horrid product." Still laughing, smiling, and twinkling :) Ok, to get this straight, I would not be cool yelling Speak to the Sky if I saw my 80's icon? Note to self. I would cherish lying under an oak tree talking until the sun comes up. And I love coffee, too. I don't know a Norwegian that doesn't :) I'll wholeheartedly agree attention spans ain't what they used to be. Why "joylessly" watch the concert through a tiny screen to say you were there when you weren't really present? It may be a smart phone, but I would question that of its operator. I do my best to live in the present, and even though I'm over 40, there's no flippin' way I'd be sitting at one of your concerts!!! I've been known to dance to your music...and dance hard...night after night after night...ahhhh, to dream of the best road trip ever going to as many Kid Rock concerts as I could...bliss. Words of wisdom: Go along for the ride, enjoy the show, and "go with the flow and just relax. We're all in this concert together." Safe travels to you, Mr. Ritchie, and TBT for your off the chain Rebel Soul Tour. Oh, and have lots and lots and lots of fun, too :)

Oh and I try and get front seats within the first 5 rows so everyone usually goes up to the front except this one time which was really strange but great for me. I paid good money to be there. I havent really gotten trampled but I'm pretty good at holding my own ground.
rjl1969's picture

Ok honestly, I'm guilty of the phone video thing as mine has a pretty damn good picture just look in my pics under profile. I so enjoyed watching these well after the show but after a while I thought to myself , I'm missing the best part of the show so I stopped but still sometimes dance with one arm in the air but not as much. As for people standing in front. I wear platforms as I am 5'5 and almost every time I get a 6 ft something cowboy in front of me wearing his hat. Hey I've worn my hat too so I manage by moving to either side and even one time resorted to standing in my seat to keep from missing the entire show. Talking during a concert for me, not happening as well as not texting etc, etc. have I been guilty of a few of these yes. Oh, I almost forgot about the dumb drunk ass bitch who can stand up straight , who doesn't know her limit that freaken spills beer repeatedly all over my expensive clothes and shoes, if she puked on em, I'd have to go Waffle House. I'm sorry but that is just unfucking cool. Is unfucking a word. Oh well , who cares anyway. Just FYI don't spill beer on me , fall into me repeatedly, and especially puke or you are gonna see one pissed off bitch. I didn't come to the concert to have my attire ruined by some stupid asshole or bitch. Just my take. I don't scream out request, I try to imply them before the concert, hint, hint. Read you posts black Bob that goes so well with crazy bitch. That's all I'm saying.

They do seem true. We just saw you both nights in Hollywood, Fl and we front row on the rail and I did take a few pics and videos. Being that close, we couldn't resist. However, I would much rather watch the show and sing and dance than spend the whole time being still to get a good shot. BORING!!! I do have something to say regarding General Admission. There were quite a few of us who spent hours in line at the Hard Rock for the New Years Eve shows that got screwed by all the a-holes who rushed in right when the doors opened rather than getting in line. I don't know if you heard, Bob, but there was almost a riot on New Years Eve. The Hard Rock's policy on GA is crap! Some of us were out there for 4+ hours (which can be verified by your body guard's wife and by Jessica). The 2nd night, we asked an employee out front if they could do something about the people rushing the doors when they open because we felt we had earned our spot by getting there early and standing in line. He said when the doors open, they open and anyone can come in. He said it was our choice to stand out there and oh well. Jerk! Going to see you in Greenville, SC (thankfully, no GA) but we are going to Knoxville too which is GA. I hope they have a better system. Seen you 15 times so far and love it more every time!!!
rocks party girl's picture

I agree. We waited for hours at the hard rock on NYE to be up front. The way they handled it sucked. Luckily we still ended up in the front, but lots of people got screwed after waiting.

So many good points that are SO TRUE!! I was at an outdoor concert of Kid's once with good seats in front, to the side of the stage..and of course standing the whole time. A guy with general admission tickets on the roped off grassy area kept chunking empty beer cans at my head telling me to sit down. I had finally had it with him and let him have it. (So not me!) By the end of the night he was buying me beer. And I must confess that I did have my phone out at the last KR concert before the show but it was to pose with crazy Kid Rock want to be's that were all dressed up. They were really into their part! CRAZY! There's nothing like a Kid Rock show. It's kind of like going to a circus with one big white trash family!! BTW...everytime we go to a KR show it somehow gets better and better. Can't wait for the boat!
KK_2's picture

Been to 5 of your concerts and will be going to my 6th in Feb. Article true about taking pics/filming. Course, I usually can only get a couple of good pictures at some of your concerts anyway even tho I've had seats like only 8 rows back dead center cause I'm too busy having a good time. Besides it's hard to get a good picture when you can't sit still and anyone that can sit still at one of your concerts must not be breathing. You put on the best concerts and I get my money's worth everytime!!!! You always look like you are having a great time and it comes across...and agree never left a Kid Rock concert bitchin about anything

Happy early birthday!!! I live in Dover, Tn, and I think we saw you the other day in Paris at a gas station. I am a super-fan, the real deal fan since 1997, I love all your work, the old and the new. And when it comes to concerts, I have been to 5 and my sixth will be in Nashville on Feb 15 at the bridgestone, I cant wait!!! That article is too funny, it says exactly what happens at the concerts!! People just need to relax and enjoy the best concert ever!!
Barb M's picture

I agree 100 percent. Happy Birthday in 2 days. Hope that its a good one for you. You rock. I am trying to see if I can go to a concert this year I hope that i can make it to one. I had a blast when I want in 2012 loved you'r show.
SherZ's picture

Extremely accurate. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, U TOTALLY ROCK DUDE". :)
stillrockin_N_tx's picture

I agree! I an an old broad in the day we did not have cell phones and the brightest thing was a bic lighter. Everone got along and no one bitched about standing piople cause everone was on their feet Can't say I ever pucked on anyone, but it happened to my friend one time, she was mortified!! But shit happens!! Right? I would NEVER NEVER even think about checking my email or Facebook at a concert (for one thing I aint got no smartpone, just a regulat cell phone), I am there to see the show, not socialize on the interweb.People need to put down thir smartphones and chill out. Let all that crap go and enjoy some music that the band has worked very hard to perform for you. If I were at one of your shows Kid, I would not know there was anyone on the planet but you,me and TBT!!! LOL!! Just sayin! Good luck on the tour I know it will be the best cause you are the best!! Love ya!!
LadyGoBlue's picture

Man, I couldn't have said it better!! I will be at the concert in Grand Rapids and you know I will behave myself. My daughter goes with me to the shows usually and she complains that once Bob starts I completely ignore her. I am all about the music and the man.
OneLove's picture

I agree, pretty funny and probably true. But, I have NEVER left a Kid Rock concert bitchin about anything!!! You know what you're gonna get when you get there and if you don't like it...DON'T GO!! You're at a concert MotherFucker!!:) Love ya Bobby, can't wait to see ya again!!
Angela_NS's picture

10. Yelling "Sit down!" at people who are standing up - is probably the fkn rudest thing you can do! People are enjoying themselves. If you do not want to stand up, it's your problem! People pay for the seat and can do whatever they want (uhm, stand or sit lol). At a few concerts I been too, I sat down (of course, not at a Kid Rock show) and the person in front was standing, not once did my choice of sitting down mean the person in front of me had too.
