Bb that's called a gaydar, I have it too because I have too many gay friends not to spot one. Their my best girlfriends and not half as catty. I learned a lot in nursing, ie psychology, sociology, statistics, religion, and just flat how to read someone or get what I want- try not to be manipulative. I can tell a lot by just looking at someone's body language, reactions to conversations or events, eye movement, when they are lying, yeah I'm real good at that one, my husband hates it, and just a persons general demeanor. How they are dressed, how they talk, how they carry themselves, who they associate themselves with and just from that I can tell that we are all a fun loving, partying, he'll raising-sometimes, caring individuals that are basically humanitarians. Now is the part where I hold out my hands for the cashola! Lmaoritf! Seriously.

Stay away from them damn life coach /palm readers. They try to find out everything about you and use it to their advantage. That's why not to long ago I had a difficult time with one of the fans on here for posting cards behind my posts and they were not good. My son had just been, or they tried to scam him out of 60,000.00 to buy a tabernacle which was a building that had been donated by chase and New York in like 1959. We are still working with the attorneys on that one in Florida where he had his condos. They attract like flies on honey to people with money. Scam artists who use generalizations that like you said apply to almost anyone and then they try to pull the info from you. They go on the web or wherever they can to make you believe they know something that anyone could find out if they really wanted too. Don't get me started.

I don't just believe in ghosts i know they exist. I work in medical right...I have seen isolation lids fly across the room and no one is around. I have had things whisper my name...look everywhere and i am sure one of my co-workers were messing with me and no one was to be found. NEEDLESS to say i beat a path back to the nurse's station. Those are just a few things i can think of...I honestly do believe they exist. For things to do just fly off a counter like papers and no wind or human knocking them off? Come on! Oh yeah and the most fun one. I had an CNA come to me and say who turned on the TV in such room? I was like beats me, there isn't even a patient in there. She was like i will show you. I go in there with her and something didn't want me past the level of the sink. I stopped dead in my tracks. If it doesn't want you to do something, trust me don't do it you might not like the results after you do. I look @ her and look up @ the TV. After a few seconds the TV changed channels twice on it's own. Now you tell me what that is about if there isn't ghosts/spirits?

Grew up on sacred Native land, in a falling apart colonial that served as an inn when folks rode horses up and down the Old Post Road in the 1800's, and died relentlessly without antibiotics. The timbers creaked with stories. I would not stay there alone without the Newfoundland at my side. And as much as I love looking at the nite sky, aliens are not on my bucket list either. But like Ajay, I have had several experiences where after loved ones passed, I had tv's and radios going off and on at all hours; even my hubby's pickup interior lights were flashing off and on one night in the UP at my aunt's place, which we purchased after her death, and the locks in the vehicle kept flicking up and down-locking and unlocking...
My Dad visited me twice after his death in dreams to tell me he was OK, even deceased pets have visited me that way-you can say it was just a dream, but I believe if your consciousness is open to such things, it will happen. I never doubt it.
I also purchase many antique furniture pieces, and I will not purchase a piece if I get a bad "vibe" off it. May sound crazy to some.

My priest has said many times that the 'drapery' separating this life from the next is like a 'thin veil'. I am not afraid when such things happen, but I did say out loud one time at my aunt's place that 'if it were She and Uncle Ted visiting me, they could stay, but anyone unfriendly had to leave me alone'...lol never got bothered again..

There is a thin veil, especially when someone passes. If it is under tragic circumstances it sometimes has a worse effect from what i have experienced. Medical opens all kinds of doors.
First time or two something odd happened it freaked me out. The more it happens the less it affects me. You learn not to let it affect you.
I have had pets visit me in dreams and ppl. I have had a dream then had it happen exactly how i dreamed it. They have been nonconsequential and bad ones. It is a mixed bag. If i get bad "vibes" whether it be from an object, person, event or whatever i do what i can to avoid it. YOU are getting bad vibes for a reason. Some are legit some aren't. I am not taking my chances point blank!
I do think some us are perceptive and more inclined to this. I don't want a thing to do with no alien. Leave that to the idiots who are all up in area 51 shit and things like that.

But, I think for some of us, the drapery is thick boiled wool and others, sheer gauze. So long as the explanation is not fraud, or non-rehabilitative psychosis, I'm all for choice in interpretation. Been interested in antiques and collectibles for years, and my joy has been seeing, touching, and finding original CT River Valley chairs from the 1700's. I can see those folks, the men, women, babies....they ghost in and out of those chairs. They were all such tiny people. And every once in awhile, if I drove by folks houses, I'd see the recently deceased out at the mailbox, shuffling the mail, waving at me and turning back to walk home.

Best of all Mom and Dad liked to build or repair...addons, sheds, porticos, slate/concrete patios, which all required excavation. And moving an old dump site. We had native Narragansett medicine people, the insurance guy, the for a day contractors and hoe, the local church people, neighbors who stopped just to see what the odd number of cars were, Yale archeologists, a zoning guy, a wetlands specialist, us kids, and structural engineer all out the same day. What a food fight. And later I heard rumbled that the next tribe over was MEGA-pissed, as they claimed the site as well for religious, health (it was a wellness site for the tribes, all afflicted by smoke huts were sent to the shore to recup...easy food supply)and were not included or represented.
