We had to go through Little Rock and it's pretty too with the lake but I hear the lake in Missouri is better. We also flew in at a little airport next to the river where people did a lot of trout fishing. I prefer lake fishing myself but enjoy the taste of fresh water trout over lake caught species. Ever saw a mud dog? Crazy m f looking creatures in Arkansas .
The spring water so clear when we would tube or canoe down the river and stop to swim you could see the fish swim around your feet. They had blue clawed crawfish- beautiful yummy creatures.we would stop and swim in big caves, swing across the river on vines, hike through the forest. I listen to mom now when she says stay on the trail. Insects are dangerous , kinda like New Orleans but in a different way. The cave tours were beautiful. I almost like it way better than the coast unless it was on chillin the most. That would probably top it. Maybe?
Arkansas is beautiful. I used to go to Buffalo Bills in the national forest , I think near Yellsville and ride my horse from the cabin up to the cliffs and caves and then down to the river running through the mountains and stop for a (rest ) along the river. My mom and I would pack our saddlebags with all kinds of treats and some apples for the horses of course. If your horse started pawing at the river you were fixing to go down for a bath in the river with the horse . We'd have to pull hard up on the reigns or either cool off and go swimming. Beautiful , magical place.
My son bought us tickets to your concert for Christmas! I was so excited! My first thought was to call my uncle James(burton) to see if he could get us back stage to meet you. My boys and I have gone to every concert youve had in Shreveport La ! But if I have to say,,,,This one was the BEST YET!!! Try not to take so long before coming back!!! If you happen to know my Uncle "James Burton" please respond!!! We will have to hang out if you ever get close!!!
i am still so sad that i didnt get to make it to ur concert. i have all ur music, this was gonna be a girls nite out for me that i havent had in about 17 years now. i really needed it. maybe one day i will get to c u concert, or in person that would be awsome!!!! just make it in the summer time. lol. oh by the way my aunt came all the way from kentucky to go to the concert, and she says she used to party with u on the lake in michigan, before u became famous, shes smokin hot 2, is she telling me the truth, if so she wants to know y u havent called her? but i say forget her , call me.
I was relaxing and reading on the web when I seen the headline with Arkansas in. I had to read it as I grew up in Arkansas. It was a good laugh.....just wanted to say that I actually grew up in a community called "Nob Hill" on Beaver Lake.......I KID you not! LOL As teenagers, we did a lot of smokin' funny things and sippin whiskey out a bottle while hanging out at the lake. That song is great and takes me back to the 80's when I had no responsibilities. Love it!
Man, that looks De-licious!! Yum. Wish I was right there on that couch too with my feet propped up and, of course, a cold beer. Maybe one of these days the stars will line up just right and by some trick of fate, I'll get my chance to meet and just hang and chill with Kid. The odds are not in my favor, but you never know and stranger things have happened.
Like you always say, "You never met a motherfu**er quite like me!" You ROCK and I love you! God bless you and your MOM!! You are the best performer EVER!!
looks cozy... :-)
I dont think you should feel the need to refund tickets... its a nice thing for you to do, showing how much you care, but we cant control the weather....
any ways, just my 2 cents for it.... we love you for what you are and are hoping to see you again quite soon....
I love this picture...keep it real as always! We are expecting some warm temps here in Alabama this week & into next week...come on down to Sweet Home Alabama & rock us on Sat. night!! I can't wait! And, I'll see you again on CTM Cruise in April!
Tommy Wilcox says hello...friend of Hank's & John Stone...Roll MF Tide Roll!
No offense to anyone here, but really? 32 degrees? We haven't seen north of 32 degrees for more than a few hours in 7 weeks. I haven't seen my lawn since 12/26/10! The snow (now ice) is still 2+ feet high! I would (and have) made it to Kid Rock (and other) shows regardless. Snow & cold are climate, comes with the territory of living where you do. Life doesn't stop to wait for a warmer temperature or less snow!
To KID ROCK: I can't believe that you put on a show and are giving refunds to those who couldn't make it. I suppose it's noble of you to do so, but I think it sets a bad precedent for future shows and claims that people will make. What's next; "It's too hot & the air conditioning in my car doesn't work, so I couldn't make the show - now give me my money back" Really? I can't believe people sometimes!! Unf**kingbelievable!! I'll look forward to my shows to see you, no matter what the temps & snow are! I know a Kid Rock show is something you DON'T miss!! ;)
One more thing if it is not 32 Degrees (Which is FREEZING!!)
I would reschedule. I don't go out in anything less than 32 degrees nor do I ask anyone to work in anything under 32 degrees...Beside that is when you run into mechanical failure. Or accidents that you don't need.
What a great idea,
A refund right out of your pocket...I think for the future you should state on all of you ticket purchases:
All shows will be "Weather Permitting" unless you can for some reason or another control the weather. ( Then on that note I want in!)
That way each and every "Responsible" fan can check the forecast just like every one else. And, go from there. (You as well) That way You know what you are doing.
I think that the whole nation has experience the frigid temeratures so who ever did not know the weather was inclement must have been living under a rock.
Also if infact the weather does not permit "Rock Concerts" then it will just simply have to be rescheduled to a different day. With no adverse affects to you.
Also It should be stated that way you know if you stop and think about it who in general thinks beyond their own face? I don't think they give a hoot also I am sure that there are always folks looking for some thing for nothing, actually I know this. That is where you need to draw a line. Business is Business.
Simple as that I am sure that your close folks care about you and what you think as a person though I would remember that you are not dealing with "THEM" so it is different. They will be fine in an hour or two telling them to go fuck them selves...and you can even tell them to go fuck them selfs tomorrow again and they would be okay with that. Your "fans" may not.
I would probably erase this posting and rephrase it. Indicating that each and everyone of my fans is important. I am sorry for the inclement weather and plan to recschedule. Being that we cannot control the weather. ( That I know of.) That would be good 'Business."
Good luck in trapesing around in the snow! Don't get caught up. Things are always changing. (Unfortunately, we cannot control that either..If you find out how to do that to I want in!)
Hey Kidd, I didn't get to come to your concert but would not blame you one bit had the show not went on. The people who are bitching about not being about to get there are going to always bitch about anything. I would just loved to been able to afford a ticket to come see you again. I live a long way from little rock and could not make the trip. I did take a vacation a few years ago and got to see you in Noblesville, IN and that was fantastic. Hope to be able to see you again one day. Made the whole vacation worth it. Got to try different things and smoke some funny things! lol Love you and keep you the great work.
Let me first say: Thank you Kid Rock for a wonderful show. This was my first time seeing you in concert. I tried to see you in Milwaulkee during the 105th Anniversary of Harley Davidson but due to the overwhelming crowding and the placement of your show outside Millers Stadium, I wasn't able to see you on that little tv screen they had set up out there. Secondly this is to the people that bad mouthed you; you better hope he comes back to Little Rock again. Didn't think about that, did you? He may decide to skip Arkansas all together next time, then what will you do, whine about that. You will have nobody to blame but yourselves. I truly hope that never happens because he knows that his real fans will be there again.....Next year 2012......rain, sleet, snow, or whatever mother nature may through at our way. It took me 3 hours to get there and if it takes me 5 next time, I will be there!!! Again, Thank you Kid Rock for a great show. P.S. I loved your 40th birthday song.....I on the other hand had to change the number from 40 to 47....LOL....well not 47 for 2 more weeks....LOL
I had a great time at the Little Rock show. It was the 1st time I have seen you. It will not be the last. It was great getting close to the stage although it was brief. I was the girl with the U of M coat. You probably dont remember. I am sure all the shows kinda run together. But I just wanted to say thanks for a great time. Jennifer
My kids bought me my tickets for my 50th birthday because they know i am a big fan, but i'm not worried about a refund because when you buy tickets to a concert in Arkansas it is like gambling you don't know what the weather will be like. The only way i could have made it was on my Harley and there was no way i was going to ride in the snow over 150 miles. Besides i waste more money on beer and cigarettes in a week alone then the cost of the tickets to the concert in Little Rock. I plan on just going to another concert like the one in Memphis hopefully there will be no snow in March. Its not like the Little Rock show is the only one you are playing and if people are true fans like me they will say screw the money from Little Rock and pay more for another show. Be safe out on the road and keep earning your living like the rest of us do to pay for your shows. A true fan in Arkansas named CRAZY!!!
YOU KNOW TICKETMASTER DOES OFFER YOU THE OPTION TO INSURE YOUR TICKET FOR $7.00. NOT SURE IF IT WOULD PERTAIN TO THIS SITUATION OR NOT BUT HEY YOU NEVER KNOW UNLESS YOUR SUCH A CHEAP ASS AND DON'T WANT TO PAY IT...JUST SAYING..COME RAIN, HAIL, SLEET OR SNOW MY ASS IS GOING TO BE AT KID ROCK'S SHOW! (a poet an didn't know it...lol) BOB I PERSONALLY DON'T THINK YOU OWE THE HATER'S A DAMN THING AS FAR AS CASH, MAYBE TICKET'S TO A DIFFERENT SHOW IF EVEN THAT..JUST SAYING IS ALL! NOT BITCHING AT ANYONE ON HERE! JUST PUTTING MY THOUGHT OUT THERE..LOVE YOU KID ROCK AND SEE YA IN GREENVILLE, SC SATURDAY...GET SOME REST AN DON'T STRESS OVER THE PEOPLE WHO ARE MAD THAT THEY CANT BE YOU..LOL...BUT I WOULD LIKE TO BE THAT LAPTOP SITTING ON LAP IN THE PICTURE!... : ) : )
Thanks for having the show those of us who did make the show would have been dissapointed if you had cancelled, we went through a lot to get there! It was totally worth it! Awesome show! Jamey is a GOD! BE SAFE! AND NOT EVERYONE in Arkansas is an ASS! Some of us are actually quiet pleasant! LOL!
